  1. It’s time for this team to take the next step and dominate for 4 quarters.
  2. Unfortunately, he’s not the deer I’m looking for.
  3. Great - The Rs can keep this on the ballot motivating D voters to show up. These guys are absolute morons.
  4. I’m not. It’s the only way!
  5. That expense appears totally legit to me. I’m fairly certain Sarah could put away $53k in diner food by having one day’s meals there.
  6. Those voters are always going to be MAGA. You’re trying to move the 2% who have forgotten what he was like.
  7. Biden’s campaign needs to have 2 ads ready for the swing states once Trump has the nomination. The first ad is a reminder of Trump’s 4 years which includes: 1. Charlottesville/Good people on both sides quote 2. George Floyd/Trump’s quote to police to bang criminals heads on cars 3. Muslim Ban/Shithole Countries quote 4.Number of Covid deaths/inject bleach quote 5. January 6/Trump’s record in election lawsuits Second ad focuses on Biden’s accomplishments: 1. Jobs created 2. S&P performance 3. Record Oil and Gas production I think that poll is bullshit; however, we need to acknowledge that this election will be decided at the margins in those 6 swing states and some voters need a reminder that Trump’s a fucking crazy dumbass man child.
  8. I think it’s floor time related. The Senate rules require X amount of time for debate on each matter voted on individually. Accordingly, it ties up the floor and means all other business stops.
  9. I follow that page on Instagram and the number of 170” plus low-fence bucks listed this year is somewhat shocking. I know it’s possible but the numbers don’t seem to make sense especially given the drought this summer. Last year on TBR someone posted a 220 inch typical as a low-fence buck until someone mentioned that would be the new world record. Ultimately the hunter admitted it was a high-fence deer. I don’t really care about the difference between high and low fence. My ranch is high-fenced. I just wish folks would be honest.
  10. This was discussed under Mnuchin as well but the concern has always been is there enough demand for those long-dated bonds. If the demand was there, they definitely should have loaded up on the long end of the curve.
  11. Why do I believe that Washington is only being floated as the leading candidate because Bagwell thinks it will make the fans appreciate Ausmus when he’s hired?
  12. Are the pitchers up for it? That’s why I don’t think you can bring Maldy back even as a backup. That has the potential of creating significant clubhouse tension on Day 1. They need to rip the band-aid off and lose his agents number. There should be plenty of backup catchers available who can catch 30 games next year. Also I will be shocked if any team gives Maldy a major league contract this season.
  13. Let’s hire Sparks - we had good luck with Dierker.
  14. Fair enough
  15. So it turns out Clarence Thomas never actually repaid his friend for $270k motor home loan. Nothing to see here.
  16. The same penalty doesn’t apply when they get to face Dubon, Peña and Maldonado multiple times.
  17. Also the article points out the penalty for letting hitters continue to see the same reliever multiple times in a series. Dusty never really understood when to use some of the lower leverage guys until he had no choice in Game 6.
  18. The thought of bringing back Maldonado even as a backup is infuriating. Go sign Erik Kratz or anyone else.
  19. Buck really held to his principles on 2020 election deniers. What a joke!
  20. I see a business opportunity here. Get a black trans-am and run blocker for all of the women traveling through Lubbock for an abortion. I just need to figure out a good CB code name.
  21. Have they been offered anything? I haven’t heard any of the moderate Rs actually make an offer to get some help from the Ds to elect a speaker. This is all McCarthy’s fault. He is an extremely weak individual who has been enabling the zealots in the far R ever since he got to Washington. He had an opportunity to effectively neuter them at the beginning of this Congress by agreeing to some sort of coalition/power-sharing arrangement. There are at least 5 members of the R caucus who will vote against anything reasonable/rational which meant he would always need D votes to pass any government funding bills or debt ceiling bills. There is no reason for the Ds to help them at this point. At some point the damage will be enough that either the Rs get to 217 on their own or a speaker will be chosen with D votes/abstentions which means the Ds need to get something for that.
  22. Chas’ nutrition and physical well-being will immediately improve without Dusty. He was sabotaging him by sending banana pudding to him every night.
  23. How much did that gambling addict lose last night?
  24. My interview for manager would start with 1 question: Player A has an OPS of 846 and Player b has an OPS of 606. Who’s your starter?
