If he hadn’t sucked with the Brewers, he wouldn’t be here. If there’s no faith, what was the point of signing him and giving him regular ABs in Sugarland?
It doesn’t make sense to not give him a shot at this point.
We all understand that the pitchers believe this; however, the Machete haters also believe it’s bullshit. This is why they can’t bring Maldy back next year. It could create team chemistry issues if they bring him back as a true backup to Diaz.
I only care about specific state polls. What does a poll look like in Pennsylvania, Georgia, Arizona and Michigan?
I don’t know what to make of the national polls.
As a fan, I don’t really care about who’s paying JV. I’m hoping this works out and fan bases always over-value their team’s prospects.
Hopefully the Astros show Tucker the money in the offseason.
So, assuming the prospects are Gilbert and Clifford and the Mets are eating a ton of JV’s salary, does this confirm that Crane has a little bit of a cheap streak?
If the Astros were willing to pay more in salary, the prospect cost should have decreased.
Clifford/Gilbert feels steep.
Unless another team puts value on a couple of our surplus OFs, I’m hoping for no deal. I dont think a real difference maker is out there and don’t want to overpay given the Astros lack of prospects.
I certainly don’t want to trade Gilbert for post-season Verlander.
