  1. This morning the juror was interviewed on GMA and was asked a question about Chauvin invoking his 5th Amendment rights and impact on the jury’s decision. His answer seemed to indicate that it was at least considered. Does that go against the jury instructions and have any impact on potential appeals? I was fairly annoyed at Robin Roberts for even asking the question.
  2. I should have never sold my house in that area. By far my favorite house to own. On the tax side, married couples can exclude up to $500k of capital gain on their primary residence for tax purposes and half that for a single filer.
  3. This group wanted to go to A&M and couldn’t get in and then flunked out of SFA on their way to a government paycheck.
  4. A murderer was held accountable by our judicial system. It’s a step in the right direction that hopefully no one is above the law.
  5. Texags is a bastion of liberal thoughts compared to the mental midgets on Tigerdroppings.
  6. Didn’t John Wayne invent this position?
  7. Totally agree with the comments about lack of investment in higher education. However, the pre-1986 tax rates are misleading. Prior to the 1986 tax act, all personal interest expense and passive losses were deductible. So yes marginal tax rates were higher but few paid them because of the massive amounts of legal deductions available.
  8. Another hit batter - Isn’t it time for old school Dusty to order the Code Red?
  9. Should Straw owe Dusty some push-ups every time he hits a fly ball?
  10. Were you on your way to Marble Arch Station and did you find that English girl?
  11. Did Matt need to smoke a cigarette after his Tucker interview?
  12. Just rewatched the Untouchables. The score for this movie is perfect.
  13. Tied for my second favorite OU coach with John Blake - only trails Gary Gibbs.
  14. my thoughts on the folks who refuse to take the vaccine.
  15. Most of the Republican politicians don’t care about the actual gun owners at all. They do care about the gun manufacturers who make money selling as many guns as possible. What do they care if some of them are used to murder children in school and grocery shoppers?
  16. Help me out here - how would those ideas negatively impact non-middle class people of color?
  17. This is another reason to abolish the filibuster. A solid majority of the country approves of more gun restrictions, and this includes a lot of gun owners. Pass universal background checks, waiting periods, red flag laws, improve mental healthcare, and magazine limits, and hopefully that makes a difference. This gun owner supports all of the above. Those things don’t infringe on the rights of any responsible gun owner in a material way.
  18. If you haven’t been to Budapest before, I wouldn’t drop it. It’s a beautiful city.
  19. I lost interest when Rick and team lived in a city with walls and a shitload of guns and ammo just opened the Alexandria gate and let Negan in.
  20. C-suite compensation has grown because of the value of equity compensation which ties back to the amount of support provided to financial markets.
  21. If the issue is “the rich don’t pay enough taxes”, that’s easily solved by treating capital gains and dividends as ordinary income subject to tax at marginal rates. Additionally that could be included with the proposal to Mark publicly traded assets to market annually. If the issue is “wealth inequality”, that seems much more complicated and I would venture that discussion would start with the enormous amounts of support provided to the financial markets in this country which drives inflated asset values in assets disproportionately held by the wealthy.
  22. If this was purely about the economics and businesses, Abbott could have allowed businesses to operate at full capacity and kept the mask mandate.
