  1. And they trade out twice and don’t take Ringo, Phillips, or the Ohio St. OT
  2. You were touting LZ’s grades. LZ had the Minnesota center rated higher. Caserio could have pulled the trigger and got him, but waited and got the next guy a rung or two lower. I don’t give a shit where they are picked. I was bitching because he hesitated and got a lower rated player.
  3. Is the lesson to not prioritize the opinions of millionaire ex-players who are not continuously active to help get and retain the most talented players?
  4. Nevermind. They traded the pick that became Hyatt along with their 5th rounder to take Cougar High WR. 🤦‍♂️
  5. Cal trying to lock up the UH frat boy contingent.
  6. So LZ says we traded up into the second round to get a C with a third round grade (5 picks after the better C got snagged)?
  7. Caserio was still dumb. He traded up to #62 to grab the third or fourth best C when the Giants got potentially the best C at #57. Why wait to spend capital until after your targets get picked and then spend it to get a consolation prize? Watch them take some shitbox WR 3 picks after Jalin Hyatt gets drafted.
  8. Depends if they are similar style and come out of the same offense with same coaches. Not fair to compare a Sark-coaches Arch Manning to GD-coach VY. Might be more fair to compare Ohio St. guys all coming from the Urban/Ryan Day system and how they didn’t live up to expectations in the NFL.
  9. The Browns play the Bengals, Ravens, and Steelers twice, the 49ers, and Jets. Mid level opponents of Jax, Broncos, Cardinals. Only gimmes are probably Titans and Colts. The Texans and Browns picks might not be far apart. 2023 Cleveland Browns Opponents Home Ravens, Bengals, Steelers, Cardinals, Bears, Jaguars, Jets, 49ers, Titans Away Ravens, Bengals, Steelers, Broncos, Texans, Colts
  10. Here’s the Texans 2023 opponent list. They have 9 home games. The Titans (x2) and Colts (x2) will be shitty. The Falcons and Bucs will probably be bad. Cardinals could be bad. Who knows with Panthers, Broncos, and Saints? They usually split with Jax. It would be great to beat Cleveland for draft picks and f Deshaun. Ravens, Jets, Bengals look like losses on paper, but the NFL has a lot of WTF games. The 2024 Texans won’t be a playoff team, but they probably won’t be bottom 5 either. 2023 OPPONENTS AT NRG STADIM ARIZONA CARDINALS NEW ORLEANS SAINTS TAMPA BAY BUCCANEERS DENVER BRONCOS CLEVELAND BROWNS PITTSBURGH STEELERS INDIANAPOLIS COLTS JACKSONVILLE JAGUARS TENNESSEE TITANS 2023 ROAD OPPONENTS ATLANTA FALCONS CAROLINA PANTHERS BALTIMORE RAVENS CINCINNATI BENGALS NEW YORK JETS INDIANAPOLIS COLTS JACKSONVILLE JAGUARS TENNESSEE TITANS
  11. Jalin Hyatt, Minnesota center, and Ringo (Georgia CB) were all fringe first round talent and are around the 20th “best available” if you buy into talking head rankings. Texans will have to trade up from #65 into the mid 2nd to get one of them, but they’d all fill needs with a potential Day 1 starter.
  12. Every QB besides (or maybe including) Bryce Young in the 2023 draft was probably overrated relative to top QB prospects in other years, but Levis gets disproportionately shit on. He did lead lowly Kentucky to a top10 ranking in 2021 and put up good stats in the SEC. He played hurt, had his OC replaced with an idiot (who has since been fired), and lost a lot at OL in 2022 so his stats and wins dropped. Is he a worse QB now? What did Richardson do on the field to merit his hype and #4 pick? The Kipers of the world have repeatedly asked “if you traded Levis and Young or Levis and Stroud, wouldn’t Levis have done better with Bama or Ohio St? How would Young have done with 2022 Kentucky? Stroud with 2022 Kentucky (probably shitty!)?” Stroud and Levis probably deserved to be mid to late firsts and Richardson maybe late first as a lottery ticket based on potential. Texans picked Stroud though so close your eyes and hope for the best.
  13. They should’ve been going best player available every pick since the 2021 draft, but definitely true now. They could still use a WR, C, OT, DT, LB, CB.
  14. It seems like he paid the recent market rate to move up that high, and then everyone else started paying less for their trade ups. This draft is shaping up like the teams don’t value the “top players” as much as the ESPN and mock draft people did. Trying to be glass half full that Anderson was worth it. Bijan, Wilson, Carter, and the top three OTs would’ve been off the board by #12.
  15. Maybe when the dust settles, it will be that NFL teams thought this class was crappy and Anderson was the only player worth a shit? Tennessee wanted to jump in front of Indy for either Stroud or Levis. They could’ve backed out when Houston took Stroud. Other teams wanted Anderson. We’ll probably never what other offers Arizona was entertaining. Arizona got a good deal on #6 because they were all in on the Illinois CB and Pete Carroll buttfucked that plan, so Detroit had to eject.
  16. I think giving up 33% of the Deshaun Watson haul to move up from #12 to #3 for Anderson is still a better scenario than if the Texans had gone Tyree Wilson at #2 and either JSN or the guard from Northwestern at #12.
  17. Any chance the next year #1 is Cleveland’s? If not, it’s still possible that Watson will get his penis ripped off and the Browns go 2-15.
  18. Damn, Rich Eisen said they gave up #12, #33, and next years first rounder and third rounder
  19. Stroud is apparently stupid so you shouldn’t build your offense upon that rock.
  20. In summary, the 2023 draft class blows and if you hold a top 10 pick this year, sorry!
  21. Bryce Young combine weight - 204 lbs CJ Stroud combine weight - 214 lbs ????
