  1. If he’s hurt it makes since to skip, but if not I would’ve thought Roschon would’ve liked to give scouts film of him as the feature back and get some buzz related to Bijan skipping.
  2. I have never understood the Britney defenders who think it is unjust that she be punished for breaking drug laws in the country where she was. No one put a gun to her head to play basketball in Russia, and certainly nobody made her transport drugs through an airport. And for it all, we released the “merchant of death” back to an enemy nation in the middle of an unjust invasion/war against Ukraine.
  3. Yes it’s at the original Taco Bueno over on Navigation.
  4. Terrible ROI on Ewers relative to the rest of that list.
  5. And sometimes it’s a good strategy to play a catcher that bats above 0.125.
  6. I wanted to get excited but they look like they are playing against a 9th grade squad and he has two big OL blocking for him into the second level. He can take his 4.7 second 40 to Scranton State.
  7. Can that catcher be Maldonado?
  8. 3putt is drunk and trying to trade all our pitchers again.
  9. No reason for Texans fans to cheer for a loss tomorrow. The Texans can win and still be in the driver seat for #1 overall, another Browns loss put their pick back in the #6-9 range, could keep them from starting a late season rally, and most importantly fuck Watson.
  10. You like it when get wins over good teams like PHX and GS. They need to stop giving losses to the other bottom feeders though when we play OKC, SA, etc.
  11. Why don’t you pull out all your hardware, Alexi?
  12. Mack was great at the attracting and keeping talent part, not so much the talented assistants (see: GD, Bull Reese, Mad Dog, Old Freak Nasty)
  13. 81 home games plus the roadies in other tax free places (Rangers, Seattle, Tampa) is a lot more tax advantage than the other way around playing in California or NY. I don’t think the “claim residence elsewhere” strategy flies with state IRS depts.
  14. This should be a major advantage for all Texas teams, but it is rarely mentioned as a tie breaker and even rarer that an athlete will take less on the contract even if they end up keeping more. Probably just the competitiveness of “my contract was bigger than yours!” If LA offers 2 for $80, say “we got your 2 for $70 right here! Same take home pay!”
  15. Texas and OU could leave early, Big 12 keeps their GOR for two more years as contractually obligated, but Texas and OU play only neutral site games wearing visitors uniforms so the Big12/Fox gets no home games to broadcast. Meanwhile UT and OU can cash checks from their other exhibitions and road games.
  16. Why they gotta kill off characters just because one director or actor is done with a franchise? Seems like it’s going in that direction.
  17. You’re confusing Luthen for his twin brother that opened a BBQ restaurant on Coruscant.
  18. Anyone else’s grandma refer to them as “Monkey Wards”? Not sure why plural, but she also shopped at “Wal-Marks”. Where you went before Home Depot and Lowe’s were around: Where different members of your dinner party can order a burger, spaghetti plate, salads, or eat off the Wednesday night “breakfast for dinner” buffet:
  19. Gets awkward when Kenny the Interpreter starts talking dirty
  20. A ringing endorsement for a general manager. They should use that in his obituary too.
  21. Ok guys. Awards in college aren’t awarded based on who is the best NFL prospect. And Huck, you are being obtuse if you deny that fans, media, et al. like to contrast head to head performances of offensive players (like Manning vs Brady etc.) even though Manning never tackled Brady. Hasn’t almost every MVP and award in recent memory, or forever, favored the “best player on the best team” rather than the best individual player (see: Heisman trophy). This is especially biased towards QBs. I wasn’t saying Duggan is a better football player than Bijan. I meant I don’t understand the shock and outrage that the QB of the league’s best team, that is undefeated and ranked #3 nationally, won an award over our school’s RB who will be a first round pick but is the RB of the third place team in conference and was only #5 in yards nationally (great, but not like he was undeniably the best player in D1).
  22. I was watching Moneyball the other day and it caused me to google Mike Magnante. Billy Beane cut him with less than a week before he hit his MLB pension. According to Art Howe, Howe told them to put him on a 7 day DL and then cut him, but Beane was just a dick and cut him that day.
  23. We are offended that our RB lost a conference award to the QB of the undefeated #3 team? Not to mention that Bijan went 12 carries for 29 yards in the head to head matchup. The penalty thing is egregious though.
