  1. Ford hasn’t released the 2023 options yet, but there’s a heritage edition for some trims that I think may include white hard tops and a retro grill. The leaked exterior color options are mostly different, because my wife wanted to order the bright yellow/“orange” color and if the leak is correct, it is being replaced with a dijon mustard brownish yellow color. They are allegedly offering a powder blue though.
  2. Does this justify doing fewer than 4 hours per week of film prep during the season? What’s worse than having to or actually putting a clause like this in and cause drama and tension? Putting the clause in, then removing it. Kyler will definitely DGAF now. Ea$y money y’all dumb bitches!
  3. LOL that was a shot at myself for not hitting the cutoff man, not a shot at you. The first time I did it by accident and you let me hear about. The second time I did it for the LOLZ and would have got the runner out at home if ROFLBOX or whoever was playing catcher could catch.
  4. Hope it went well for you. I don’t know what all this talk is of anesthesia, Valium, or pain meds. I got local lidocaine in my sack and that was it. Doc wouldn’t prescribe pain meds (which most good and ethical docs these days are rightfully stingy with it). I drove myself there, drove home 10 minutes after it was home. Tylenol every 4 hours, and constantly rotated three bags of frozen peas between my nuts and back in the freezer for two days. Never had swelling or bruising. I am two weeks out, and there is still a little soreness on the boys when pressure is applied, almost like someone flicked your testicle.
  5. It’s the most curable form of leukemia and he lives and works 10 minutes from MD Anderson. Take nothing for granted, but I can’t imagine a better scenario for him given the situation.
  6. Seems not burnt enough.
  7. He might’ve been WR2. At least now his busted ACL will be plenty rested.
  8. It’s no Uchi, but pretty good. The pan fried eggplant appetizer was excellent and resembled the consistency of fried plantains. We split a couple rolls and the Chilean sea bass. Sea bass was good, not great, but I might order it again.
  9. Yeah, Caesars continues its journey to full dump. The last time I stayed there (2016?) the rooms hadn’t been renovated since the late 80’s. Every year the floor looks crappier as CTJ said. We only opted to walk through it to get to dinner two nights this week (Amalfi and Roku sushi) because the alternative was walking down the sidewalk in 113F heat.
  10. We went back to Beauty and Essex for dinner last night and it’s still on point. The prime rib French dip sandwiches and tuna poke tacos were the favorites. Southern chicken sliders were good but quite same tier. While one never expects to be wow’d by brussel sprouts, we were sad these tasted like a ready bake version you buy from HEB. Mushroom truffle risotto was good. We went with the beignet style donuts for dessert and they were awesome and probably 5000 calories. End report.
  11. TAKE THE $230 MILLION, PUSSY! Arizona is dumb and in a couple years we can look forward to them being an even more pathetic version of the 2021 Seahawks or Falcons after their QBs’ mega contracts kicked in.
  12. How come you never heard about this before? Well, that’s not something the State Department tells dependents when the battle occurred over the wrong line on some map.
  13. I asked the doc if “scalpel-free” was just marketing bullshit, and he said it was. Then he holds up the scalpel to show me he’d already used it. He explained the obvious, that using some kind of blunt forceps to puncture or stretch a hole open in your sack, you risk a lot of collateral damage and it would be more painful anyway. He did acknowledge that most urologists older than 50 or 55 use the old school method of a large incision, while more recently trained guys make a tiny nick in the sack just large enough to fish out the vas deferens and cut them. I didn’t even need a bandaid, let alone stitches; just applied pressure with gauze for a couple hours simultaneously with frozen pea bag.
  14. I went to Dr. Hogan in the Woodlands last Monday and it was about as pleasant as it could be. Only two mild pinch sensations on the lidocaine, and I was bullshitting with him the entire procedure about the most fucked up things we’d seen doctors do (urology for him, spine for me). He did it solo without an awkward lady in the room holding up my junk. I was diligent with the frozen peas for 48 hours, then went shooting on a sporting clays course on Thursday without issue. Never experienced swelling or bruising. One week out, I still get the occasional sore feeling like being thumped in the balls. His sperm test is after 90 days, you drop off your cup sample at any Quest. I told my wife the doctor encouraged 90 ejaculations in 90 days and she seems to have bought it.
  15. In the NFL it’s nearly impossible to win a championship without an elite QB, and since at any time there are about 10 of them teams have to pay $40M+. I’m sure some better baseball fans than me will clap back at this with counter examples, but how often does paying an MLB player $300-500M guaranteed or $40M+ per year a good ROI? The Yankees, Red Sox, and Dodger were infamous for how much $/win they spent compared to other good teams. Trout is/was the best player, and the Angels aren’t winning shit while paying him and Rendon mega bucks. Half this board was irate that Houston didn’t offer more to Carlos than they did, but it’s hard to argue as of today that Peña isn’t a way better value. Fuck Scott Boras. Let other teams get saddled with these contracts that look horrible in a couple years and drag franchises down. The Dodgers and Yankees can only sign so many guys to those contracts, maybe it’s time for the other teams to put their feet down and not give in to the demands of a 0.250 hitter that expects to get 40% of an average team’s payroll for the next 10 years.
  16. “I WANT TO COMPETE FOR A CHAMPIONSHIP. THAT'S ALL THAT MATTERS TO ME AT THIS STAGE…besides strippers and cheeseburgers.”
  17. This thread needs a new title. I get depressed every time it pops up.
  18. We switched to stream with DirecTVnow/ATTnow/DirecTVstream 3 years ago. When we cut cable, we went from >$150/mo tv and internet bill to $60 Google fiber and $35 DirecTV Now. The streaming companies have all edged their pricing up so they are like $60-70/month for the basic package. I’m considering cutting this now since we don’t want much live tv. I nearly canceled live tv streaming a year ago in favor of Locast (free streaming of local over-air channels NBC, CBS, ABC, Fox, CW, PBS, Telemundo). Locast got buttfucked by a court that they could provide for free to consumers over the internet what they could already get for free with bunny eats antennae. Maybe that was a prelude to local NBC/CBS/ABC/Fox affiliates offering live streaming, but I have not generally seen it. I’ll probably move to the Hulu Live + Disney + ESPN bundle and save about $5/mo until the next time they jack up prices. If I was smarter, I’d cancel live tv every year after the super bowl and pick it back up for the UT opener in September.
  19. They should’ve gone with a white helmet to give a nod to the Oilers days.
  20. Best donuts in Austin at S&H. After living in East Austin for 12 years and rotating Saturday breakfast between Kerbey, Paco’s, and S&H, the past year in Houston suburbia makes me feel like Henry Hill getting his egg noodles and ketchup. I miss that Cambodian lady and her donuts.
  21. They could lose him to save $33M/yr? For the Nth time on this page, Ayton cannot be traded for 6 months (realistically 12 months). This was not to flip Ayton for KD, unless you are poorly describing a scenario where they had to resign Ayton to pair with KD after trading Devin Booker to the Nets?
  22. The shaggybevo softball team that played down at Riverside and Pleasant Valley back in the day wasn’t terrible. I’d say I’m sorry we didn’t play again, except I bet y’all did play again and didn’t invite me because I refused to utilize Captain America as a cutoff man.
