  1. At least they won’t have to ask the SEC commissioner to dodge us in bowl games anymore, and we won’t be seeing them in a playoff game for the foreseeable future. Advantage aggy?
  2. Being unsatisfied with a QB who throws off his back foot and quasi side arm 90+% of the time and turns the ball over regularly while we have a team with legitimate title aspirations makes one a pussy who should suck penis? If we keep winning while consciously accepting poor mechanics and inaccuracy under pressure that lead to turnovers and overthrows, all Longhorns should be happy but eventually it will catch up to us against a good team. Maybe Arch doesn’t know the playbook and read sequence as well as Ewers, but he sure as hell is more of a running threat on RPO and designed runs and can throw the ball down the field. If the season ends short of championship and Ewers didn’t have any ball out games (300+ with 80% of it is yards after catch isn’t as impressive as 300+ mostly through the air, which is what Ewers fanboys imply when touting 300 yard games), most fans will ask what if Arch had got more snaps post-Miss State. Could it have made the offense more dynamic and helped win it all? If we end up losing a playoff game either way, is it not better for 2025 to play Arch more in 2024? We are lucky that our defense is fucking awesome and Wisner is a stud running hard through small gaps and racking up yards after contact.
  3. Our starting LT next year
  4. But how much would an INT cost?
  5. Sorry for partying
  6. Fuck off announcers. Y’all think it’s cute when the sooner dickheads plant their flag, but Michigan doing it is a travesty?
  7. By the 7th OT, either team could’ve won and it wouldn’t have changed who they are. UGA should be embarrassed by this, yet because they were the only ones to score in 7OT, they are locked in the CFP. Had GT got in, UGA would be out of CFP with a loss to Texas. It should be more than wins and losses. If they lose to us next week, the committee should look at tonight’s game as a loss and punk UGA out of the playoff.
  8. Texas 38 Aggy 16 280 yards passing
  9. My sons were born after aggy ran to SEC, but they know all about the chant. We went out of state for Thanksgiving, but I feel a sense of guilt as a dad for not taking them Saturday to join in on POOOOOR AGGIES. I pray those of you in attendance chant it so loud and so often we all hear it on tv. Think of the children.
  10. * Mack also didn’t want RGIII, offered Manziel as a DB but not QB, and chose Tyrone Swoopes (who led his 2A team to a 1-10 record) over JT Barrett. Mack was reactionary in recruiting and game strategy, having to lose hard and see others have sustained success before adopting change. W/L record aside, the best thing he did was reset culture during his first couple years. Had he been replaced with a better X’s and O’s coach in 2003 or 2004, Texas may well have had a better record 2005 and beyond. Given the talent gap between VY and Colt, I’m often more impressed with what Colt did for 4 seasons. Once Colt was finished, so was the Mack Brown regime. But Mack didn’t want to go, so we spun around with years of switching out coordinators and watching OU dominate as we fought for bowl eligibility. When it was clear he was finally being fired, he torched the program on his way out the door. That salting of the earth erased any sense of thanks or good will I might have had for him with the passage of time.
  11. Re: 1999 Bonfire game - Article leaves out the aggy Patel dude who was the night manager of the Holiday Inn that “allegedly” food poisoned half our team, including Applewhite. - Their band still did their regular little brother anti-UT shit, no matter how in hindsight they claim to have been considering canceling their performance and were so moved by the Longhorn Band’s performance - Did Mack let them win? Hard to say because we had Greg Davis and they called a shit game. I don’t give a shit if it was freshman Simms’s first career start. We had Kwame Cavil and Montrell Flowers to throw to, and Hodges Mitchell, Victor Ike, and Chris Robertson to run. We should’ve mud holed them and instead we lulled around and kept it close until they didn’t run out of time.
  12. POOOOOOR AGGGGGYYYYY
  13. If we aren’t passing, why not put in the most mobile QB? It’s not like Arch is less of a passing threat to the defense than second half Ewers.
  14. The progress we all hoped for when they started allowing lady coaches in men’s sports.
  15. Dyke Box
  16. No, because I know we have a hearty helping of zone-blocked, between the tackles Joe Mixon runs that aren't designed to set up other big plays on Monday Night Football. At least Dallas looks worse than Houston, but they'll settle it on the field!
  17. Yeah, because 2 pages of technical vs. non-technical degree program talk was great reading.
  18. Am I on peyote or is Rob Reinhart?
  19. Everybody is harping on the 5 INTs, more so that choking a 23-7 halftime lead at home. Y'all know damn well one of those INTs was on the hail mary at halftime. Yelling about 5 INTs makes it sound more embarrassing but is disingenuous. Missing key players on both sides of the ball. Defense played pretty good (would've been nice for Stingley to bring in that INT). Slowik's play calling has mostly sucked this year. There is no creativity in the running game of counter movement by runners or blockers, and when they keep running shit plays you want to believe he's setting the opponent up to drop a variant for a big play. Nope, you just get more of the shit calls. CJ needs to check to second and third reads quicker. He stays on primary and misses with #2 pops open sometimes, and he's taking too many sacks.
  20. There is no imagination to the running game, unless you count trick reverses in terrible situations.
  21. Every field goal you kick puts you 3 points closer to losing.
  22. NFL fans bitch about the Chiefs getting calls, just like they used to say the NFL cheated and gave New England calls. I never thought it was true or that one call here or there would make a difference, but I’m reconsidering my position. I like the Chiefs, but there has been something horseshit in their favor in nearly every game this season. This week it was a pointless replay review for like 5 minutes that took Tampa’s O out of rhythm and gave KC’s defense a breather; then a clear false start on KC RT on penultimate play of OT. Why does the NFL need KC to win every week? They are going to be a high seed in the playoffs regardless.
