  1. Spot on UT Lawnghorn......that is what I meant
  2. Kramer goes to a fantasy camp. His whole life is a fantasy camp. People should plunk down two-thousand dollars to live like him for a week. Do nothing, fall ass-backwards into money, mooch food off your neighbors, and have sex without dating. *That's* a fantasy camp!
  3. tOSU was on ABC primetime during the regular season one time: Week 2 vs OU Their 3 highest rated games against Michigan, Pedo State, and Wisconsin in Big14 championship were all on Fox http://www.sportsmediawatch.com/college-football-tv-ratings/#2017wk4
  4. Rep for the Dirty Laundry reference........Don Henley's song was way ahead of its time in predicting the era we now live in.........
  5. Agree on Apocalypse now.....didn't get the movie at all until I read Heart of Darkness in HS and was like whoa.....it was the same thing. I don't think there will ever be a definitive movie that can capture the Vietnam experience. Someone is going to have to put together a Band of Brothers-esque mini series that might capture the complex nature of the conflict. Is there a definitive WWII movie?
  6. Kramer: What's today? Newman: It's Thursday. Kramer: Really? Feels like Tuesday. Newman: Tuesday has no feel. Monday has a feel, Friday has a feel, Sunday has a feel.... Kramer: I feel Tuesday and Wednesday... Jerry: All right, shut up the both of you! You're making me nervous.
  7. If by the Mouse you mean ESPN, that could be the case. However, SEC games (and by contract, the home team dictates the television package) are never shown in primetime on ABC (which is what was announced). CBS gets the first pick under the contract for the game of the week in most cases followed by ESPN for their primetime slot (although the 2 networks do work hand in hand at times when announcing matchups). Nobody else in the SEC has a matchup worth a damn that week.....in fact the next best game in the SEC that week might be Miss St at K State, which would fall under the Big 12 contract. I'd be shocked if it wasn't on CBS. As mentioned above, CBS first SEC on CBS game last year was TCU at Arkansas.
  8. Rep for Saga and Zebra......I still love On the Loose to this day......
  9. Not sure I would be touting this list, including what some have considered the greatest bust of all time. UT has had only 3 QB's drafted in that same period and somehow I bet the aggregate career stats of VY, Colt and Chris Simms is better than this group.
  10. Pretty sure that Fox will pick it up to go head to head with OSU-TCU. The games that have been announced so far are "preference" picks by the two networks, which both carry Big 10/Big 12/Pac 10 games. FOX also had the TX/USC game last year. There really aren't many other games that could fit in that slot - LSU/Auburn will either be on CBS or ESPN...same options for Alabama/Ole Miss. I think ABC wanted to get OSU on more than anything else....it will have more cracks at Texas later in the year in primetime is my guess.
  11. CBS would have rights to this game since A&M is at home.
  12. Unfortunately the immutable laws of physics contradict the whole premise of your account. Allow me to reconstruct this if I may for Miss Benes as I've heard this story a number of times. Newman, Kramer, if you'll indulge me. According to your story Keith passes you and starts walking up the ramp then you say you were struck on the right temple. The spit then proceeds to ricochet off the temple striking Newman between the third and forth rib. The spit then came off the rib, turned, and hit Newman in the right wrist causing him to drop his baseball cap. The spit then splashed off the wrist, pauses in mid air mind you- makes a left turn and lands on Newman's left thigh. That is one magic loogie!
  13. Somehow we managed to con our kids when they were younger that Chuck E Cheese was only a place for birthdays and therefore, they could only go on their birthday or if one of their friends invited them to their birthday party.....worked like a charm. When they finally realized what we had done, they were too old to want to go to Chuck E Cheese. I do however remember Showbiz Pizza on Burnet Road back in the 80's was the tits though......
  14. In college, I pretty much checked off all of the old SWC stadia except Jones and Razorback. So for those counting at home, that would be Kyle, old Baylor Stadium, Rice Stadium, the Dome (when UH played there), Amon Carter, and the Cotton Bowl (when SMU came off of death penalty). Cotton Bowl also counts for the Cotton Bowl and TX/OU. Since then, I have also visited the following: Robertson stadium (for the infamous "Bleachergate" game) Bowers Stadium (SHSU) Rutgers Stadium Rice-Eccles (before the Olympics renovation) Sun Devil Stadium The Superdome (to see both the Sugar Bowl and Tulane)
  15. I'm out there Jerry and I'm loving every minute of it..........
  16. Not a Native Texan, but as they say got here as soon as he could. Seen him several times at the Mucky Duck.......
  17. eorge : Yeah. No, no, no, wait a minute, I always have tuna on toast. Nothing's ever worked out for me with tuna on toast. I want the complete opposite of on toast. Chicken salad, on rye, untoasted ... and a cup of tea. Elaine : Well, there's no telling what can happen from this. Jerry : You know chicken salad is not the opposite of tuna, salmon is the opposite of tuna, 'cos salmon swim against the current, and the tuna swim with it. George : Good for the tuna. ( A blonde looks at George ) Elaine : Ah, George, you know, that woman just looked at you. George : So what? What am I supposed to do? Elaine : Go talk to her. George : Elaine, bald men, with no jobs, and no money, who live with their parents, don't approach strange women. Jerry : Well here's your chance to try the opposite. Instead of tuna salad and being intimidated by women, chicken salad and going right up to them. George : Yeah, I should do the opposite, I should. Jerry : If every instinct you have is wrong, then the opposite would have to be right. George : Yes, I will do the opposite. I used to sit here and do nothing, and regret it for the rest of the day, so now I will do the opposite, and I will do something! ( He goes over to the woman ) George : Excuse me, I couldn't help but notice that you were looking in my direction. Victoria : Oh, yes I was, you just ordered the same exact lunch as me. ( G takes a deep breath ) George : My name is George. I'm unemployed and I live with my parents. Victoria : I'm Victoria. Hi.
  18. JERRY: So what happened with Kramer's mother? GEORGE: It's all worked out. Nina and I will have dinner Thursday at the restaurant where Babs works. JERRY: What's she like? GEORGE: Oh, she's a Kramer. And uh, while I was there I uh happened to pick up another juicy little nugget about our friend. ELAINE: Ah, I'm ready what? JERRY: What is it? GEORGE: I uh got the first name. ELAINE: You found out Kramer's first name? GEORGE: That's right. You ready? JERRY: We've been trying to get it out of him for ten years. What is it? GEORGE: Cosmo ELAINE: JERRY: Cosmo? GEORGE: Cosmo ELAINE: JERRY: Cosmo - all laugh - ELAINE: Cosmo, Cosmo? Kramer enters KRAMER: What's so funny? ... wha? ELAINE: COSMO? KRAMER: All right, OK So you the name now. The cat is .a a a .. out of the bag. J; Well I got to hand it to you. You did a hell of a job keeping it a secret all these years. ELAINE: It's not such a bad name. KRAMER: Well you know all my life I've been running away from that name. That's why I wouldn't tell anybody. But I've been thinking about it. All this time I'm trying not to be me. I'm afraid to face who I was. But I'm Cosmo Jerry. I'm Cosmo Kramer. And that's who I'm going to be. From now on that's who I'm going to be. I'm Cosmo!
  19. Take the over on Texas and K State Tempted for the under for OSU.....seems like this is their rebuilding year and when Gundy has them, they are rough. Baylor at 5 seems egregiously high but their non conference slate is Charmin soft. Still hard to see which 3 wins in conference they get (assuming they lose to Duke in non-conf). KU at 3 seems no worse than a push
  20. Here's my map. Basically haven't been to any part of New England other than Massachusetts, Ohio, West Virginia, Idaho, the Dakotas, Wyoming, Idaho, Oregon, and Alaska. By my count, I have hit 36 of 50 states.
