  1. Those are solid goals and should be doable. My standard advice for anyone getting into cycling, is to get a good fit. You'll be in the same position for 3-4 hours on a 60 mile ride and want your body to be efficient and comfortable. Also, get a really good saddle. I think there's three parts of bike fitness: 1)cardio 2)legs and 3)the ability to be on a bike for a real long time (this is where a good fit comes in). The first two should be pretty easy for you, since you have an athletic background. For the third, spend a bunch of time on the bike; there's a ton of value in chill rides that get your body used to being on the bike. Lastly, don't be stingy with chamois cream.
  2. Congrats! Aside from what you’ve listed, I wouldn’t spend a dime upgrading a 15 year old bike that was too big. If you wanted to spend the money you could get it professionally fitted, which may lead to you buying a new stem.
  3. Onnit has some really good home workout HIIT programs. Each program uses a different type of weight (kettlebell, mace, club and body weight) and each workout works your full body. They’re about an hour start to finish with 20 minutes warmup, 20 minute workout and 20 minute cool down. Can’t recommend them enough.
  4. Random thoughts: Any 26” bike is going to be stealth enough in that everyone will know it’s old as shit….and no one will be able to pick out a 20+ year old Klein based only on the chainstays and seatstays. I don’t think Kleins have cachet among bike thieves. Not sure why you think disc brakes are a con. Mine have never been louder than rim brakes. Plus you don’t have to worry about an out of true wheel fucking up your brakes. If it were me I’d rock the Klein. I’m sure you could make the handling a bit more stable with a different fork.
  5. I remember the signing day press conference when Mack said he wished he had signed more OL. Well shit, mofo, why the fuck didn’t you?
  6. Thanks for linking a drunk girl being sexually assaulted. Super funny stuff/sarcasm
  7. Any restriction on NIL or implementing a salary cap is likely to benefit schools that have played the bag game in the past. Fuck that shit. Keep it as is. Free market, everything in the open and above board. And that benefits Texas.
  8. Anything short of renaming the team the Oilers and going back to the old uniforms was going to be a disappointment.
  9. Looks good. I’d lower the runners on either side of the tv a few inches and center the cabinet.
  10. TikTok will do that to a man
  11. All other stats aside, he’s only won one playoff game.
  12. I know it’s been asked, but why didn’t they franchise Greenard?
  13. I got a $100 for the winner of TikTok comments/Mr. I Used to Bench 225 vs ztejas. Let’s get the pot going and make this happen!
  14. Wasn’t talking about you or anything you said.
  15. You can tell her that some guy from the internet said this is a good opportunity for her to learn that she should treat a $600 phone like a $600 phone.
  16. Congrats on the new ride! Highly recommend that you get the bike fitted by a professional bike fitter. Unlike on a mtb, you’ll be in pretty much the same position the duration of your ride. Got an old bike fitted at the start of the pandemic and made a huge difference in comfort and handling.
  17. Dude, we’re taking about aggy. Do you expect them to not fuck this up?
  18. Woom makes legit, lightweight kids bikes. A buddy of mine got one for his son and he loves it. They may be more than you want to spend but worth a look.
  19. All that and they celebrate the wrong success and then get way ahead of themselves. Top recruiting class…WHOOP! Swgacopter, WRTS, Don’t Care Got Jimbo. All these bullshit fake wins, which they assume are a guaranteed ticket to the promised land, but they’re still waiting at the station with their dick in their hands.
  20. Assuming their funds are finite and Jimbo is fired, how do they allocate the remaining football funds (donor and institutional monies)? A high dollar coach, leaving less for NIL; or a lower cost up and comer, leaving more for NIL. Donor fatigue is a real thing when they’re paying $60+million for someone not to coach and the new hire isn’t exciting and motivating their fan base to fund a competitive NIL program. Think that’s why they’re wishcasting an alum like Dan Campbell (?) or someone who ‘gets atm’ who’ll keep the donors happy and the money flowing.

  22. HOOK 'EM!!!!!!
  23. Your math seems off. Saving 50-75 for 4 years equals 200-300 for a down payment. That’s well over 20% on a 375-400 loan. If the target down payment is 20%, why not buy the house when he saves that amount?
  24. Locally, you may also want to check out Austin auction gallery. They’ll be able to give you a range and will take a chunk of the sales price, but it would probably be the best way to move it quick and not get a shit deal.
