  1. In the market for a new food processor. Looked at the ATK reviews and they still like the 14-cup Cuisinart, despite the re-model. I have read some good and bad reviews of it (bottom blade as been raised) which makes me cautious at $250. ATK's recommendations are usually no-brainers, but not so sure on this one. Any rec's or experiences with your machines or other types?
  2. How do you guys enjoy Mezcal? Neat? 1 ice cube? Lime? Salt?
  3. Lance falling in love with his breaking balls...
  4. In and Out has the worst fries. This is known.
  5. Halloween in Houston. This is generally when it feels "nice" again. September fools the newbs in thinking that the cool down starts, but it seems September can be as brutal, or worse, than August. Then comes October and the girls bust out a sweater because the low is 67. Starbucks makes a strong appearance while highs are 88-90 still. Love this city from November through April though. Especially, Nov to Dec.
  6. In the fall or winter, the Chicken Noodle soup with a side salad makes for a nice weekday lunch.
  7. Enjoy it tonight. I think we get CB Bucknor tomorrow.
  8. Wasn't this the Clint Black joke on Celebrity Apprentice?
  9. Not COVID-related per se, but apparently the bus situation is a shitshow. My guess is that there is a serious driver shortage, leading to fewer routes, and max capacity buses having to do a double route. My email has been getting blown up for a week.
  10. Smaller roles than those mentioned, but Veep's Uncle Jeff and Congressman Furlong are in the conversation.
  11. Jesus Christ. Are we playing the '27 Yankees?
  12. I would also guess that the proliferation of quality BBQ and their prices has lifted all ships in terms of what they can charge. Keeping raw materials and quality of product the same as before would lead to profit margins increasing with no other increased expense. Just a thought.
  13. Some of my favorite old school Food Channel shows: Taste with David Rosengarten Too Hot Tamales Throwdown Molto Mario Grillin' & Chillin' Essence of Emeril (no audience) Galloping Gourmet Tyler's Ultimate
  14. Cross posting from the Airplane Fanatic thread. Thx in advance for any guidance. I hate that I have to go down this path, but what is the appropriate channel for filing a complaint against a CFI? When I changed jobs and moved, I requested a refund of my remaining balance within all guidelines of his refund policy. Total was about $2,500. I got about $900 of that back within 6 months of the request, but it has been some 15 months since that payment, and I have not received any more. He has emailed me a few times during that 15 months that he knows he still owes. I sent an email reminder last week that we need to get this resolved and/or set up a short-term payment plan. No response over the past 6 days. Is the FAA the best path? Small claims court? Strongly worded letter from a Surly lawyer?
  15. If anyone is interested, I have an extra Lawn ticket for the October 15th show at the Cynthia Woods Mitchell Pavilion at the The Woodlands for sale. It's part of the "Dancing in the Streets" package. It includes: - One (1) lawn ticket to see Dead & Company - Early venue entrance and access to the lawn - One (1) limited edition, screen printed Dead & Co. 2021 tour poster - signed and numbered by the poster artist - One (1) commemorative concert ticket - One (1) commemorative laminate ** after all the fees, it originally cost me $168. Willing to take $150 for it. I can transfer the ticket to you directly from Live Nation. PM if interested. NOTE: you will either need to show proof of full vaccination or a negative COVID test resulted within 48 hours of the show to get entry into the venue. Thanks, everyone.
  16. You're right. I'm just pissed off at our recent play, and Dusty is as easy a punching bag there is.
  17. Brantley, last time I checked was 34, not 64. Dusty sure handles him like a fragile doll.
