I would also guess that the proliferation of quality BBQ and their prices has lifted all ships in terms of what they can charge. Keeping raw materials and quality of product the same as before would lead to profit margins increasing with no other increased expense. Just a thought.
Some of my favorite old school Food Channel shows:
Taste with David Rosengarten
Too Hot Tamales
Throwdown
Molto Mario
Grillin' & Chillin'
Essence of Emeril (no audience)
Galloping Gourmet
Tyler's Ultimate
Cross posting from the Airplane Fanatic thread. Thx in advance for any guidance.
I hate that I have to go down this path, but what is the appropriate channel for filing a complaint against a CFI? When I changed jobs and moved, I requested a refund of my remaining balance within all guidelines of his refund policy. Total was about $2,500. I got about $900 of that back within 6 months of the request, but it has been some 15 months since that payment, and I have not received any more.
He has emailed me a few times during that 15 months that he knows he still owes. I sent an email reminder last week that we need to get this resolved and/or set up a short-term payment plan. No response over the past 6 days.
Is the FAA the best path? Small claims court? Strongly worded letter from a Surly lawyer?
If anyone is interested, I have an extra Lawn ticket for the October 15th show at the Cynthia Woods Mitchell Pavilion at the The Woodlands for sale.
It's part of the "Dancing in the Streets" package. It includes:
- One (1) lawn ticket to see Dead & Company
- Early venue entrance and access to the lawn
- One (1) limited edition, screen printed Dead & Co. 2021 tour poster - signed and numbered by the poster artist
- One (1) commemorative concert ticket
- One (1) commemorative laminate
** after all the fees, it originally cost me $168. Willing to take $150 for it. I can transfer the ticket to you directly from Live Nation. PM if interested. NOTE: you will either need to show proof of full vaccination or a negative COVID test resulted within 48 hours of the show to get entry into the venue. Thanks, everyone.
I wish Bagwell would have possessed more of a desire/ability to be a manager. Not to mention stamina. I love the way he calls games when he sits in for Blummer. He wouldn't put up with much shit either. Unfortunately, that manager-type seems to be headed out of baseball.
Let's be those guys and start making a list.
Brad Ausmus. Jeff or Brian Bannister. Sam Fuld. Don Mattingly. Josh Bard. Brandon Hyde. Raul Ibanez. Rob Thomson.
Approaches at the plate the past month have been pathetic. No patience. It's like their guessing. I wonder if Snitker as batting coach is baseball nepotism, or not.

Five o'clock Christmas morning, I run downstairs and look under the tree and what do I find? Uncle Alfresco, dead on the floor, shot through the back of the head. Plus no bicycle. It was a disappointing Christmas on many levels.
