  1. The committee is not penalizing CCG participants if they are in the top 12 going into the CCG.
  2. You brought it up No shifting, all part of the global picture
  3. OU scheduled Texas. Loss Aggie scheduled Texas. Loss
  4. Wrong. Throw that metric out. The committee has put itself in a box by not following their stated metrics. No reason to not schedule cupcakes. See Indiana and others.
  5. And Texas just beat a playoff team, literally as the playoffs are beginning.
  6. No A&M played an FCS team and beat S CAR at home by 1, AUB at home by 6 and ARK by 3 on the road.
  7. No And Texas just beat a playoff team, literally as the playoffs are beginning.
  8. See... if we had gone for a touchdown instead of kicking the field goal at the end of the half v. Ark., the committee would put us in. "Texas has killer instinct!!" Surly gonna surly. haha
  9. ACC gets left out. That spot for Virginia gets taken by another G5
  10. I prefer playing tOSU in the playoffs
  11. Look at this BS https://hoosierhuddle.com/2025/08/18/indiana-adds-non-conference-games-to-2026-and-2028-football-schedule/
  12. That's pussy ass bullshit. The morons on this board want to schedule tOSU, then back to back weeks of Oregon and Miami on the road. Play the fun games, you know. We should schedule on a different metric level, that nobody else does. That'll show"em!! ND's schedule is a joke. But let's not do that.
  13. And yet it could easily end this way in conference...plug in a Texas win and all the favorites https://bball.notnothing.net/bracket_cloud.php?conf=secfb
  14. Absoluely. Fine print for low IQs. An additional metric, record strength, has been added to the selection committee's analysis to go beyond a team's schedule strength to assess how a team performed against that schedule. This metric rewards teams defeating high-quality opponents while minimizing the penalty for losing to such a team. Conversely, these changes will provide minimal reward for defeating a lower-quality opponent while imposing a greater penalty for losing to such a team. https://collegefootballplayoff.com/news/2025/8/20/selection-committee-prepares-for-2025-26.aspx
  15. If a 9–3 Texas does not make the playoffs, then the out of conference schedule should only consist of three cupcakes. Swapping out the loss to Ohio State with a win over a cupcake absolutely has a 10–2 Texas in the playoff this year. Also, the committee’ s stated policy is that an out of conference loss to highly ranked opponent would be minimized. I would like to see that policy tested this year with Texas. If Horns get left out, no reason to play highly ranked opponents out of conference.
