  1. Press down twice. You'll see the last several channels you've watched.
  2. Man, I was dead wrong. At exactly the six hour mark, I got Are you still watching? with the video paused. It turned itself off, YTTV, not the Shield, 30 minutes or so later. I read elsewhere that Pluto TV is good for this purpose and won't turn off.
  3. Hmmm... Starting a test now. I will say I've never seen any sort of notification asking if I was still watching like some other apps. And I've definitely paused a game and headed off to church or whatnot for a couple of hours and the game was still on and paused when I got home. But I'll let this run for a few hours notwithstanding a house full of kids that could screw up the test. Also, when I turn off the Shield, most of the time, although I don't know how long this holds, YTTV is on and paused right where I left it. Although it certainly doesn't continue playing when the Shield is "off." I do know that on our XBox, it will stop the YYTV app after some time. That was a frustration as we used to leave that TV on when we'd go on vacation to fool the dumbest of theives. I wonder if you can cast something to the TV from your phone if that will keep playing? Like cast YTTV instead of the using the Firestick app.
  4. I can't help with Firesticks, but I use YTTV with an NVIDIA Shield and it doesn't turn off...I don't think. It will go to a screen saver afer a period of time if you pause YTTV, but it will keep rolling if YTTV is playing.

  6. PSA: Xfinity Flex streaming box is pretty janky. Some bassakwards non-intuitive shit. Content just so so to start. Autostart annoyances. Lack of clarity when something is VOD or a "live" channel of their content. All with ads. It was free and I get get Peacock Premium free. It's worth about that much. Android TV/NVIDIA Shield waaay better. Not great to have a second streaming box for one app. If Android TV gets the Peacock app later in the year, this Flex box has no purpose. 7. That last episode might be the best bit of Star Wars I've ever seen. Damn good TV. The whole fam is caronabinging CW. Four episodes left in S6. Perfect timing as S7 finishes up. We also just started the movies as we all realized the youngest has seen CW, Rebels, Resistance, and all the Lego movies, but not one of the actual movies. Weird. Remarkable that she knew the whole Ep. 1 story from the Lego movie. Also remarkable that she likes Jar Jar. CW is the only thing on a screen that the whole fam watches and enjoys. 8. And just like that, the biggest hurdle in the Big 12, disparate 3rd tier rights, is now a selling point.
  9. PBS will start phased roll out on YTTV starting Nov 4...will take nearly a year for all stations to make the stream available... being handled station by station. https://thestreamable.com/news/youtube-tv-targeting-a-november-4th-launch-for-pbs-but-could-get-pushed-back?fbclid=IwAR1YArpuRtcXZX-Ca3C39-A6qkuWNyVaktKsFkef7aRwHj0yt6J3HEn_JoA No clue how to embed a URL for mobile tapa...sorry.
  10. Yeah...that's got to be it. I didn't realize LHN was offered on AT&T digital packages like it is on legacy DirecTV, and it makes sense they'd have it in a different tier in Texas than the rest of is just like DTV. I thought you meant that you were logged in to your XFinity account instead of your AT&T account. Thx.
  11. I just clicked through every current live option on ESPN.com with the Xfinity Internet creds...I can't watch any of it. All the linear ESPN channels except LHN are "not included in your current television subscription..." LNH is "not authorized"...and ESPN+ wants the usual separate login. There is currently nothing listed as being on ESPN3 "airing" right now to test, but I understand that I do get ESPN3 content via Xfinity Internet, but that's kind of hypothetical as I haven't tried to watch anything on ESPN3 since ESPN+ launched. And there are only a handful of ESPN3 things on later in the day. As expected and announced, they moved almost everything over from ESPN3 to ESPN+. I CAN watch replays of today's ESPN3 content, which consists exclusively of talk shows.
  12. hmmmm.....thanks for looking. I have two browsers open...one is logged into ESPN, and authorized with a buddy's DTV I use for LHN....it's working. I did the same thing on the other browser as described above...no go. I've never heard of LHN being available via ESPN3 or streaming only. And curious that Xfinity does it when Comcast doesn't carry LHN. I don't doubt it...but I am confused.
  13. This does not work for me. "User not Authorized Error" I didn't think my Xfinity Internet gave me access to LHN...and it doesn't for me. What's your secret sauce? I log into WatchESPN with my usual Disney/ESPN account...then try to watch/click LHN (a football game replay right now...go figure!)...it asks for my Xfinity creds...I plug in my Xfinity Internet/Stream cred...not authorized. You have another route that works?
  14. There no good reason to get into bed with the dead. “Last fall, there were 4,000 more high school football players in Texas than in the entire Pac-12 footprint.” wordpress.com: “The Pac-12 just doesn’t have the numbers.”. https://blutarsky.wordpress.com/2019/09/05/the-pac-12-just-doesnt-have-the-numbers/ The Mercury News: The Pac-12’s talent pipeline at risk: Football participation continues to drop in high schools across the footprint. https://www.mercurynews.com/2019/09/04/the-pac-12s-talent-pipeline-at-risk-football-participation-continues-to-drop-in-high-schools-across-the-footprint/
  15. YTTV does have this...it's just not intuitive. When you are in the Live channels menu, click on the logo for the channel...not the current show. On the android app (phone and tablet), it's on the right side...on the Android TV app, it's on the left side. That will show you the upcoming schedule for that channel. It will show you the next 24 hours (sorry, not three weeks or so like DirecTV). On my Android TV (SHIELD TV) app on my TV, I see the next 1.5 to 2 hours on every channel on that Live page. On my Android tablet, I see the next show on every channel on the Live page. On my phone, I see only the current show. So despite what you've heard, it seems screen SIZE DOES MATTER!
  16. Tomorrow at 7:30a Texas time on NBCSN...EPL preview show.
  17. Tune in to NBCSN Aug 9-11 and you'll get a good feel for the league and the teams. LINK
  18. I haven't tried to test the limits of YTTV on TVs and or with apps, but I do know that I can open multiple tabs in a browser under the same main account. I've done four at once. Didn't try a fiftg or sixth. I'll try tomorrow at work. I was able to open and watch 12 open tabs of YTTV in Chrome, on a Windows desktop at work with no issues, no buffering, and no nasty calls from my IT department. I let them all run for an hour or so (wasn't part of the plan...just forgot they were going). I asked folks at home to open YTTV at home on the Android TV/TV and see if it worked...It did. So my main account had 13 screens open. But I am guessing YTTV treats my work PC as 1 log in. This still doesn't answer your question about numbers of TVs or apps. But good to know that as a fall back, you can always fire up a laptop and get your NASA command center screens rolling.

  20. And it sounds like high school counselors will also help enforce. Since you generally sign the "contract" in front of that counselor, that they have to sign too, if they send off your transcript to your Early Admission school, they will then NOT send your paperwork to the second school later if you try to renege. I too wondered how on earth this could be enforced. Sounds like the enrollment mafia takes care of it. High school counselors want to be popular with the cooler college admission counselors, and your kid will be ghosting from that high school shortly. And all the advice on my end is that if you want financial aid, early admission is not for you. From the school perspective, Early Admission is for the kids that are no brainers that can afford the tuition. And cynically, why would a school offer an aid to a kid that is "contractually" obligated to attend. They got you.
