  1. Anyone know why the announcers keep saying the school district name/initials before North Shore? I didn't see any other schools/announcers doing that. Weird. Superfluous. I don't think the announcers say Eanes Westlake HS?
  2. Thank you Hozz! Also, if you have any creds for LHN from friends or family, try them on the Bally's App/website. Worked for me.
  3. I am lucky enough to have a cred for ESPN on the app, which I sort of forgot about as I only use it for LHN. But this really makes me appreciate the YTTV interface and DVR. I am much more likely to tune into a crap bowl game on YTTV than the hassle of the E app. Hell I wouldn't even know they were on without seeking them out. YTTV always had them on the home screen. We will stay in this weird in between until the sports channels break away from live games being exclusively on cable providers. But it will be a long time. Comcast just resigned the EPL and they kept it the old way. Anything on NBC will be streamed at the same time on Peacock, lots of games only on Peacock, but anything on NBCSN or USA will only be on cable. There is VOD the next day for EPL. But the VOD for the ESPN app has the same restrictions. Must have provider log in. As far as I can find, none of the bowl games will be simulcast on ESPN+. I stuck with DirecTV for a couple years longer than I should have out of illogical love for the DVR. I'm doing the same with YTTV for a while. .... Oh shit... I just realized the extensive library of Disney movies I have put on the YouTube TV DVR are all gone. I don't know why I care, I also have Disney+.
  4. Today I watched a clip of Paul on Colbert in the Ed Sullivan Theater. Colbert showed him a clip of BTS impromptu singing Hey Jude. Colbert appropriately and reverentially asked if anyone will ever be as impactful over such on long period of time as the Beatles, and how on earth could a group of kids from Korea know the words to their songs decades later. Paul said, "easy lyrics." Ha ha ha. I love Paul. Rubber Soul in the headphones right now on 11 and on repeat.
  5. Brand spanking new. Posted five hours ago.
  6. I absolutely love YouTube TV. Mostly for the DVR, and watch anywhere convenience. I will likely stay with them even through an ESPN outage. Not a horrible year to not see a bowl game since the Longhorns aren't in one. But it occurs to me, Hulu is never going to have a carriage problem with ESPN. Mouse takes care of mouse. Anyone got recent experience between Hulu with live TV versus YouTube TV? Particularly interface and ease of use? It also occurs to me that that last question might be part of ESPN's calculus with this renegotiation. I never considered Hulu with live TV until this moment.
  7. Same for me... Ace was my first purchase. Although I previously and after burned up Mom's Sgt. Peppers album over and over. About to sit down for part 3. I purposely and painfully delayed and waited (until XM free listen ended). I don't want it to be over. They all knew those cameras were there. They may have forgotten for a bit, been too high to remember, or not thought to check the shubbery in the commissary, but this media savvy gang knew a movie was being filmed. I don't think we can, beyond great hope, find true reality in any version of this footage. There is no way to know the full scope of what was said or done before/after cameras rolled. I hate to say it as it is the seminal moment for the whole Jackson thing, but I wonder if John planned to work through Get Back for the cameras. He's looking at paper, likely his old notes. And George and Ringo look off at something a couple times almost like possible direction (but probably just something benign). I hope I'm wrong and we all saw spontaneous genius, but movie making, even behind the scenes documentary making will always put things together to tightly convey a possible truth. But it is all so damn good! We are all eating up the Jackson deep fakes and can't get enough!! Now moving on to every song in album order:
  8. This show is amazing. I had to stop after part 2 and decompress and will watch part 3 tomorrow. I don't want it to be over! But damn it's a good week...this show, XM free week with channel 18...this thread...so much Beatles. So good. For anyone that doesn't have XM, the Beatles channel 18 always has some great stuff not heard as much or commentary that's new to me. It's free/turned on in your car until Dec. 6. You can also use the app and cast it to your better speakers. And they have ongoing commentary between songs from Peter Jackson with interesting takes. And there is a podcast on the XM app I'm listening to as I read though all of the above titled "The Let It Be Story hosted by Kevin Howlett," that is concurrent with the Jackson documentary. It actually sheds a bit of light on some of the stuff debated/opined on in this thread with some additional audio from the larger recordings Jackson didn't use and from commentary from the Beatles spliced in. George just flat out explains why he walked out. The XM app also has some video of Howard Stern interviewing Paul when he released 3 that I hadn't seen. Someone said it above, but I thought John's drastically improved mood was chemically enhanced more than excitement for the band or the project. I was struck by how nice they were to each other and their ladies. They all said good morning and happy new year to each other and greeted people's plus one (except George's meditating buddy). And it was clear there was no overt hate or angst toward Yoko. Maybe it's just 60s English passive-politeness, but they all seem to try to get along and be civil despite strained ongoing issues. And the flowerpot conversation was highly reasonable. Despite this being the backdrop as the beginning of the end, it was a far cry from dysfunction for a rock band of 20 somethings with no manager.

  10. Anyone seen official confirmation that it won't be today or is there still a possibility it's played later tonight? I see vaguely conflicting tweets.
  11. Thank you Paramount+ for making it so hard to find the ECL and not let the stream start until so close to game time. I conte take it anymore! COYS!
  12. COYS! This is our time! We always do great for three or four games when we get a new gaffer! Revel in it! This could be the best half month in years!
  13. I'm so thankful for that close up of his mole... And the back of his head. Looks like they've recently hired a videographer from Italy as well. https://images.app.goo.gl/i91LeekT4YKQDsxX6
  14. Spurs on TV (wife is Spurs fan...so I'm being nice) and Horns on tablet. I feel like I'm cheating on both teams a little.
  15. Anyone know how someone in the EU could stream the World Series? I don't think they have VPN.
  16. Hulu free for Sprint customers. No idea if that still a thing with the merger, but I'm still getting it free.
  17. College kids get a discount on Paramount+ as well. However, you must bill month to month and if you switch to the cheaper annual plan, you lose the college discount. Learned this the hard way.
  18. A bit of a mystery to me....Wolves under him were relentless. I feared that team when we played them, and not just bc of Tryori roids. EPL version of all gas no brakes.
