  1. Hey, hey, hey! There's no reason to get nasty.
  2. Man! I have 4 Big 10 channels -- main and 3 overflow -- on YoutTubeTV and only the main SECN. I hope they push A and B our way along with whatever they do with LHN. YTTV has no alts for ACC or SEC, only Big 10. and No Pac 12 at all.
  3. JS1 said it better, shorter and faster than I did...I wonder why Mouse doesn't just provide a school branded SEC+ stream for each SEC school. We'd basically have LHN on the ESPN app like now. Makes no difference if it's streamed...doesn't take any precious carriage on cable/satellite. I'm guessing the schools don't have enough content. Hell, we don't either after years of LHN. But if they had LHN+ instead of many SEC+ links, I'd be more inclined to randomly go check out what's streaming.
  4. Yeah, I am hoping beyond hope that all that we get on LHN will move to ESPN+. Some of it will be on SECN, but not all, and I think way less UT content than some of us think. For UT-specific pre-game/post-game/analysis/coaches shows, we already have the studio infrastructure and on/off air folks. But I'm have no idea if UT will want to pick up the production costs that Mouse handles now. I'm guessing not, but all that content can push the brand and help on the recruiting trail...maybe. The big drawback for E+ is no DVR/pausing. But that's the same for LHN for me now visa the ESPN app. And I hope the Lowell haters love them some Tebow...that crew does the SECN football pregame stuff. I'm not sure I've ever seen a school specific pre/post game show on SECN. Just coaches shows I think...anyone that watches more know differently? Mouse was getting us ready for the new overlords when they had Lowell cut to the SECN pre-game team before the Arky game. LHN is an amazing way to stay connected to campus from out of state. I am afraid we might wake up one day as realize we lose a ton of access to watch non-football sports. The pros have shown the way, they really don't give two shits if there are less eyeballs on the game as long as they sell out the stadium and get maximum broadcast dollars. And I hear the folks upset about access. But it's as good as it ever was. Before LHN it was PPV, which was janky and not ubiquitous. Before that, we just didn't get every game on TV. You may be wishing for the bad old LHN days if much less of our shit is broadcast.
  5. Yeah, your right. A dedicated pregame show and post game show for every game, that Pittman 44 story, 05, 1969, Ricky and Earl interview, baseball games, volleyball games, and all that money Mouse gave us. It really sucked. I'm sure we'll still get all that on SECW/2.
  6. They had Purple mattresses on display at my local Mattress Firm when I bought mine.
  7. Big fan of our Purple Hybrid 2 (same as 4, but more firm).
  8. I visited campus to see a high school buddy who got a hoops scholarship there. I was really surprised how dumpy the buildings and dorms were. Just painted cinder block on the exterior. I'd imagine that's changed since then, but it was clear despite being a private school, Miami like so many of the other Florida schools (FIU, FAU, UCF, USF, etc) grew up in the post war era and didn't yet have much tradition or architecture to speak of yet. Dude had to tuck tail back to Texas after it was discovered the school was giving the team inappropriate Pell grants. It wasn't just the football team back then.
  9. Yep... No easy way to do it. I pay for D+, and E+, and get H free from T-Mo. I bought 3 years of D+ in advance (good deal offered pre launch), and E+ annually. I never found a way to combine them. But the way I have it now ends up cheaper than the bundle for now. It get even more convoluted bc I also "activate" E+ with another legacy account so I can get LHN and E3. Plus I have YTTV credentials as well. I have no idea which gets which at this point.

Won't work since LHN isn't on YTTV
  11. YTTV tip (maybe I'm the only one that didn't know this) On my tablet, watching Horns halftime show. If you leave the screen size as it is and select the score tab on the right, you see a small preview of the other games...I can keep an eye on three other games at the same time.
  12. Vidgo Folks...how's it work/look on streaming boxes/TV? Hard to deal with no DVR? I need a DVR for sports most of all! No NBCSN would be a speed bump for me, but it's going away here before long any way.
  13. I know someone in the DC area with a Charter cable log in out of NYC, that lets them watch LHN on ESPN app. No idea if that works anywhere else with anyone else.
  14. Locast lost a court fight.... Those of you enjoying Locast...nothing is imminent, but it may not be too long before that gets shut down like its predecessor.
  15. Wow... UCLA game didn't so so well... Alcor State (which had GameDay lead in) did better. Also interesting to see LLWS games on ESPN did better than UCLA game. But I'm not sure those are apple to apples stay comparisons.
  16. Looking at the map, that's a pretty strong conference. That would solidify the Big 12/16 as the clear #5 P5 way ahead of the G5 (until the other Big 3 start trying to expand and steal from this group). That's a lot of schools that in any/every given year make noise to be considered for the playoff, more so when it expands.
  17. I love this...as it comports with my preferred world view. However, an argument can be made, by other aholes, that the SEC started it in 1990 when they poached Arky. It sort of came into conspiratorial focus for me when I realized that the SEC now has Arky, aggy, and Texas. Long game to take the best of and destroy the rest of the SWC. All other members of the SWC from the 80s are or may likely be power conference homeless (if Wannstedt's spew has any truths).
  18. Sounds like he was passing on scuttlebutt from "Big 10 people" more than has scoop on the moves. That might explain the Big 8 focus over the Texas focus. Nothing said seems crazy, but I imagine a foothold in Texas has real appeal.
  19. Audio pulled down. That would mean every Big 8 member lands with a lot of SWC not landing well.
  20. And LHN/SECN2 the Ocho!!!
  21. Crackle!
  22. Fascinating article. One part...everything is the same now, and one part...wtf that sounds weird. A "commerce" degree program from Rice that only athletes could take? Ha ha ha. Also interesting to read how the NFL impacted big city schools. I laughed when I read the Bills may move to Austin...no way UT let's that happen. But reading this gives aggys reaction to us in the SEC a bit more context. I had no idea Tech joining the SWC was thought to have neutered TCU recruiting back in the day.
  23. Once the dust settles, all Texas teams will gladly home and home with us to fill their stadiums.
  24. Pretty common around the DC area too. It's totally anecdotal, but I've got a subset of friends who send quite a few of their kids to Ole Miss, and Colorado. And ironically more than a few hoping to get into UT from out of state. Virginia is even worse than Texas because the top two public universities here keep their enrollments very low compared to the population.
  25. Can't figure out how to post directly to the story...OLDS!...story number 3 in the link. It's all about sports and CFB is a strong number 2 with no quadrennial events. https://www.axios.com/newsletters/axios-sports-538a592f-d641-40e7-9cab-0b2245d70f3b.html?utm_source=newsletter&utm_medium=email&utm_campaign=newsletter_axiossports&stream=top 3. [emoji342] Chart du jour: America loves football Data: Sports Business Journal; Chart: Axios Visuals 22 of the 25 most-watched TV broadcasts this year have been sporting events — and 18 were football games. The big picture: Last year was the first time no scripted TV shows made the top 100 most-watched list, and awards shows could be next to fall off.
