    RIP Garth Hudson

I mean we aren't the ones who had to Google Garth Hudson
  3. G650

    RIP Garth Hudson

As it should be. Sad he struggled so much at the end. Was a unique spirit in this world.
  4. G650

    RIP Garth Hudson

Now seriously motherfuck this shit. Hudson was an absolute gem. https://www.themirror.com/entertainment/breaking-garth-hudson-dead-last-923166
  5. G650

    RIP John Sykes

For someone of your vintage and background I find this incredibly hard to believe
  6. G650

    RIP John Sykes

Monster player, even though I wasn't a super fan of all his stuff. https://blabbermouth.net/news/legendary-guitarist-john-sykes-dead-at-65 Also, actually died, unlike Pete Best.
  7. @Goredho probably has a better feel for that stuff than I do, but most I see with big pros are the Fractal AxeFX or the Kemper. Line 6 does make the Helix which I think is pretty popular too but probably a little more low end If you want 100 watt Marshall advice, then I'm your guy.
  8. I think these options are basically already out there with modelers. All the cover band brigade is already in on FRFR speakers and shit as we speak, it seems to me that the main thing on this would be software as these things are pretty siloed right now, ie. they just have say guitar settings on them. If you loaded it up with profiles for all the uses you outline I think you would be most of the way there.
  9. I was going through some old CD books I found in a storage bin I was unpacking today, and came across my copy of Voodoo Glow Skulls Band Geek Mafia. I remember getting that back in the 90s when I was at College of Charleston and thinking "I feel seen"
  10. Dude that is awesome
  11. Where did you see this
  12. As I posted on TGP, this thing looks like a pedal for guys with Punisher stickers on their Call of Duty edition Jeeps.
  13. Accurate.
  14. This actually triggered the memory that all my band/Orchestra directors were brass players. You would think that a pianist or strings player would slip in there somewhere, but alas, no. My high school band director was in one of those groups of like 5 guys that would come to do an assembly at elementary or Junior High school and play tunes for the school to promote music for the kids. When I walked into high school it was like the two Spidermen pointing at each other meme. The sax player in that group was like a dead ringer for Coach in Cheers too. Could play the shit out of the Pink Panther though. Anyhow, this concludes G650s reminiscing.
  15. They have been trying to move that thing for a minute. Too bad John Neuse hacked it up
  16. Definitely a good price, I just sold that '99 AmStd for 950.
  17. The school band historically has been a very supportive community, I think that would be my first stop for recommendations on private lessons, the teacher may offer lessons themselves. I know arts budgets have been slashed, especially in some states more than others, which is a shame, as it's something near and dear to me. We actually started in 4th grade back in my day.
  18. Hell yeah brother
  19. Basically the cylinder version of an echo room. This is the critical piece.
  20. That's a great setup.
  21. So who's joint is this https://www.instagram.com/p/DE0gJ6aONz6/?img_index=1&igsh=ODN6eGlibnE5NHRk
  22. I think you will find that each interval has it's own flavor so to speak, and you will favor ones that fit your mood the more you play them. If you haven't definitely put some work into hybrid picking as well, helps immensely for moving around more.
