  1. I’m a bbq whore. Every-ting is available
  2. Honestly don’t know. But I know we did Banh Mi at Pappa Charlie’s four years ago. And tacos five years ago. And enchiladas four years ago. We were doing goofyque before it became popular.
  3. Huh, who would have ever thought about doing bbq based flatbreads?! I keed. Brotherton is my boy and we constantly talk shit about people who come up with some “new” way to use bbq in non-bbq dishes. You know, like tex-mex. Or flatbreads. Go spend money with him. He’s a great dude, a good friend, and a very good cook. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  4. Nah, I’m a swell guy. Just bc I’m friends with SJJ doesn’t mean I get all stabby like he does. At least not as often. Drop in and see me, XYZ. You’ll enjoy your visit or I’ll pay for your meal.
  5. Good catch, thank you. Corrected.
  6. Orders for xmas barbeque should be sent to jim@bucksbbqco.com by 3:00 pm this Thursday. Pick up will be Sunday the 23rd.
  7. Buck’s Barbeque Co. There’s a thread on this forum.
  8. Equidistant as the crow flies, perhaps. But I’m a hop-skip-and-jump via 288. You’d have to drive all the way down Holcombe/Bellaire to see the Blood Bros. And I’m not trying to deter anyone. Those guys are good friends of mine.
  9. Blood Bros is in the Bellaire triangle (outside the loop). They are hoping to open for business on Thursday. Good dudes. But not near the med center. Closest to the med center would be my place, and Pit Room.
  10. I will happily light that aggy one on fire for you to help you clear wall space. An aside: dude does excellent work. Commissioned an Auburn piece for my FiL and it turned out just lovely. And another for my buddy who owns a popular nerd bar in Houston.

  17. The Austin Smokewerks (John Lewis and his dad) pit design was substantially copied by Moberg, though Sonny has made some improvements to the design. They’re very good pits but it takes well over a year to get one from Moberg these days. (Same is true with Mill Scale now).
  18. Yes. We’ll have whole briskets at $100, turkey breasts at $55, and either prime rib or beef tenderloin cut to order at $22/lb
