  1. What day is that? So I can alert the authorities
  2. It probably was by the time he took this pic. He walked around the whole damned place trying to find just the right spot for picture taking
  3. Article about the schedule change finally came out. I'll be open for lunch tomorrow, closed on July 4th, and open again on the 5th. We'll be closed the entire week of July 9th as I'm travelling to Chicago to help my friends from Feges Barbeque at The Windy City Smokeout.
  4. Was waiting for the article to come out before I announced it but.... Our schedule changes effective today. We will no longer be at 8th Wonder on Saturdays (we WILL be there on July 4th though). And no longer popping up at Holman Draft Hall. Our schedule at Lucky’s Lodge will be expanded. Tue-Thur from 11am to 3pm Fri from 11am to 9pm Sat from 11am to 5pm Saturday will be Butterfinger brisket and beef rib day. Come get some.

    Barbeque

Nah, there’s a lot of really solid bbq in Houston now. And I eat it regularly. I like eating stuff other folks cook and seeing the varying influences in style. Its really cool.
  6. I've had several volitans in an aquarium in the past and can attest to the fact that getting stuck hurts like a mother. Ain't fun. And I'd go spear fishing just to exact my revenge on a couple hundred more of those motherfuckers. Fun fact: some of the fish in the OP's video were actually scorpion fish, not lionfish

    Barbeque

    And that's a fair point

    Barbeque

I can't believe nobody has started a barbeque thread for Houston yet. The hell is wrong with you guys? Houston is bursting at the seams with new options to the point that some of the recent additions to the TM Top 50 are getting left in the dust. Most of these guys are friends of mine so I won't rank them, but I'll group my favorites together. Corkscrew Tejas Pinkerton's Roegels Feges Willow's Gatlin's

    TexMex

I live in the Bloody Nickel so we go to Ninfa's on Nav quite a bit because its so close. The last three times were downright disappointing. To the point that I may not go back for a while. There are so many good spots now that it just doesn't make sense to keep giving them chances to disappoint. Hell, Merida right across the street is consistently good and half the price of NoN. El Tiempo on Montrose is the tits El Real is solid El Patio/Club No Minor, especially off the Felix menu Spanish Village
  10. You ain't gotta go to Vegas to see shit like that
  11. As has been stated there are many, many hotel options in downtown that are easy walking distance from Minute Maid Park and more bars/restaurants than you can count. Hotels.com is the answer you seek on that. You likely will not have the chance to have my barbeque that week though. I'll be in Chicago at the Windy City Smokeout. If you feel a strong urge for barbeque while you're here, catch an Uber or Lyft and go to Pinkerton's. It's not too far from downtown and is very solid. There are others that may be mentioned in proximity to downtown, but Pinkerton's is the correct answer. And yeah, Saint Arnold's is not really walkable from downtown. 8th Wonder is, and Sigma is on the light rail line going east so its also easy to get to.
  12. That was hilarious. I didn’t think Jean would actually open your tab under that name.
  13. Hey, thanks for coming in. Which group were you with?
  14. IT WAS RHETORICAL, FARLEY! I’ve talked about doing a class before, but honestly just not quite full of myself enough to have done one. But I would, if enough folks had interest.
  15. How much does camp brisket cost? Cause I’d be inclined to hold a class if there is enough interest.
  16. Lunch service is 11:00 am to 3:00 pm. Starting tomorrow that is extended to 9:00 pm. And yes, butterfinger brisket is tomorrow. I have 3 working. They will probably only last until 1:00 or so.
  17. Nice. Now can you say that in English so the rest of us can understand?
  18. Yes. Even though goofyque was a shaggyism, and shaggy was my playground (not Wes'), Wes adopted it for PC and I agreed not to use it at Buck's. Hence Lazarus' creation of the term #barbecrazy.
  19. Do I need to send you a cease and desist? And its #barbecrazy
  20. Fake news I txted NOMMMAAAAAAAAAAA the link and told him I made him famous. Sort of. DV wrote what he wanted to write, despite what I might have said to him. Its all good. I just made the butterfinger brisket famous, even though someone else created it Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  21. Daniel is known to prefer lean brisket. And even with the diss on my moist brisket, he came with a strong take on the lean (and everything else in general). I’m pleased with this piece.
