  1. As I've been saying, anything Dak can do, Lance can do better. That was a masterful fumble
  2. These poor players have been saddled with a Shitty Coach and a Shitty Owner. Therefore, I think it's fair to say that:
  3. Stuporlicious! Nice Drive Fat Fucking Mike!
  4. When I criticize Ewers, part of it comes from comparing how he played a year ago. For the most part, he didn't have these problems. (I didn't like the way the season ended on the Wash 10 yard line, but that was partially Sark.) His stats yesterday were helped by a Florida offense with a backup QB that struggled to get first downs in the first half and beyond. It was all Texas. Arkansas in Fayetville will be a good test. One thing you see when you watch Arch is his fluidity. He's quicker, and he can get outside and continue to look downfield. Ewers had that last year.
  5. I think at this point Quinn is our only option. I only saw marginal improvement over his performance against Georgia - who got their ass kicked today, but Quinn's gonna need to step it up next week and beyond. Like I said, some of the stuff we got away with today isn't gonna work against the better teams - at least not consistently. He still looks a little uneasy in the pocket. So Sark has to figure out what Quinn is capable of and push the offensive burden onto our star receivers and running backs. Take the pressure off Quinn. I just get the feeling a straight drop back passing attack isn't going to work, and every time we call that instead of using deception and play action, we will be asking for trouble. We have a good running attack. That could be the key in getting us thru the playoffs. Keep Quinn out of third and long. If you're gonna go deep, how bout play action on first down. No stumbling around in a collapsing pocket.
  6. Don't agree. Ewers looked very tentative at times. Many of his downfield passes were off target, especially the deep throws. Most of the yardage came on very short passes to amazing runners/receivers. We didn't get away with that against Georgia, and everybody will be ready for it. If Quinn is going to miss big on deep passes, he's gonna get intercepted - as in critical interceptions that end important drives. I think Sark has to make that run game work and then go with play / action intermediate passes for Quinn to be successful. If Ewers tries the straight drop backs, he's gonna get happy feet. We saw some of that today against a pretty mediocre defense. He wasn't terrible, but he needs to show quite a bit of improvement to win the SEC, let alone a Natty
  7. Those are some nice stats. 350 passing. 200 rushing. Excellent per touch numbers for most of our offense. There's no doubt we weren't hitting on all cylinders, so if Sark gets these guys on the same page... look out. I give Ewers a B-. His performance wasn't near good enuf to run the tables.
  8. A lot of the runs for Gibson were straight up. Nothing fancy. No deception whatsoever. You throw in some deception and give him an extras step and he could be kicking some serious ass - maybe as soon as next week.
  9. Didn't Arch tuck the ball, dodge a tackler, then pulled it back out to make the completion. How often do you see that? He's a natural
  10. When true freshman Earl Campbell came in, he was running behind Rosy Leaks who was a great running back, but slightly hobbled as I recall. It didn't take long for Campbell to establish himself as the starter. He was THE fucking stud. Maybe Gibson will rise up. Looks pretty good in traffic
  11. Sark gonna need that running game to open up the passing game when we hit the tough teams. I'm at least glad he's getting the ball to the backs. Blue and Wisener are legit threats.
  12. Sark tries to fine tune the offense - without revealing too much of his future plans to our upcoming opponents in the final battle for the SEC Crown. First get that run game going. Reintroduce play action passing to Ewers. Score a few TDs including one by the D. Kick a few FGs and sit on the lead in the fourth. Final - UT 38 Florida 24. Is there such a thing as Steampunk Football? Fuckin' A (I).
  13. He coulda said, "We'll fuck and suck." Maybe they were making plans for after the game. Or just an old fashioned proposition. Like when you meet a woman at a bar and she wants a guarantee that your not going to your place just to brew some coffee.
  14. Why do I get the feeling Jerrah is impotent. Signing Dak for a premium was to show the world how big his balls were, when in reality, if he truly had big balls, he woulda told Dak's agent to take a hike and start rebuilding. Maybe get a guru like Jonah Hill in here for some advice. He could have started a thread on Surly under a gay name asking for advice on running the team - and curing impotence. Hindsight is 20/20.
