  1. Pollard's been looking a bit stronger the last couple of weeks
  2. If the refs allow, it would be sweet to beat the fuck out of the Eagles today. Set up a playoff rematch. Can that happen as a Conference Championship?
  3. What the fuck is wrong with that stupid motherfucker. Fielding high punt at two yard line. Brain dead shithead
  4. I should have mentioned that Bradley went on the become a damn good defensive back for the Eagles. I think he got All-Pro honors
  5. What. How about James Street v Vince Young? Slightly different styles, but can't leave all this talk of great QBs out without bringing up Street. Seems after a highly touted Texsas team went 0-1-1 in their first two games of the season, Street took over for would-be superstar Bill Bradley and went on to finish the season undefeated. Won a bowl game, then went undefeated the next season winning a National Championship (against Notre Dame) and leaving the 40 Acres with a 21 or 22 game win streak which finally ended a season later in a rematch with the Fighting Irish in the Cotton Bowl. Texas won a shitload of games back in the day.
  6. I think our defense is good enough to stop Washington 50-60% of their drives. The key to winning is going to be our offense. We have a qb who can deliver the ball anywhere and on target. We have receivers who can catch anything. We have a couple of running backs who are a threat to go all the way on any fucking play. We simply cannot go conservative at any point in the game. Sark has to let it all hang out on every series. Use the entire playbook (except for the delay handoffs up the middle). I kinda think if the coaches do their job and we show focus and discipline, we can blow these motherfuckers out of the water. ONe note though. They will do everything they can to put pressure on Ewers. That's where Sark needs to concentrate his efforts. Keep them off balance, move that ball around, get Ewers out of the pocket for long balls and above all, keep him healthy. Swings screens. Quinn has thrown a few balls cross-field that were dangerously close to being intercepted. Stop that shit. If we can avoid turning the ball over, we're going to win this one.
  7. Ewers was probably at 80% Saturday. 100% is gonna look pretty damn good. AND we need to keep him that way thru the next two games.
  8. And FWIW, Sark comes off as a lot more personable and sincere than that asshole up in Ann Arbor
  9. Apologies, Sark, for a few "fuck yous" that might have slipped out in the heat of the moment, but I think a coach has to feel some pressure when his team isn't performing optimally. Gotta believe losing JB and Ewers (for a while) forced you to climb to new heights. You truly opened up the offense and beat the fuck out of the last two opponents. You have some offensive genius in you after all, and your recruiting is making us all believers. If anyone needs a little inspiration, go watch some of the historic Longhorn teams. This is where we need to be - the new Alabama - college footballs new dynasty - Austin, the dream destination for every high school football player in the country. When it comes to this program, never let off the gas. (And don't worry, Surly has your back.)
  10. Wilson panicked. He was free from that LB, had all day, probably coulda run it in. Terrible throw
  11. Have to wonder if Sark doesn't have a Worthy-worthy backup waiting in the wings. The future looks bright. Recruiting, if not already lights-out, will now surpass anything we've ever seen. Stratospheric.
  12. Was just about to post this. We had the game won at that point, and if Sark had pulled Quinn, we coulda been thrown into the same category as FSU - i.e., an injured starting QB. Ewers is a trooper. Also, had he stayed on the sidelines, the Pros would be that much more leary of drafting him high. Now, the fact that he has taken us to the CFP makes me reconsider whether he'll go pro. His stock is up. If he has another great game or two, someone just might be willing to take him in the top 3 or 4 QBs. Might be too much money for him to sneeze at. We can move onto Arch Madness.
  13. Sark woke up. He saw that he was turtling this offense - maybe he was trying to control mistakes, but dammit, he was being too conservative. He's unleashed the hounds of hell (offensively). He's gonna let the Big Dog Eat
