  1. My driver sucked yesterday. Missed several turns. May have the yips.
  2. 20-yr old showing everything he knows about keeping trim and conditioning
  3. Remember, these kids are really into their bodies, as well as their girlfriend's bodies. They want to look good, and at that age they can bulk up fast. The real problem with the wrong kind of lifting is not that it can screw up your agility for a few hours, which it definitely can, but in trying to do what you're used to doing effortlessly, say throw a deep pass... you do that with tightened, bulked up muscles, and you can tear and permanently injure tissue, especially tendons. Things just won't work like they should and there may be no going back. I was a little surprised to read that Brady apparently never lifted weights, but it makes sense. Almost never injured. Then again, why do you think players "stretch" before a game - to avoid injuries. Do QBs stretch? Hope so, but if they decide to skip the slow warm up and let one fly...
  4. Three google quickies: Why don't quarterbacks bench press? The reason the barbell bench press has been labelled a “dangerous” exercise for quarterbacks is because the barbell locks you into an 'internally rotated' position (pronated grip) and your hands cannot move freely (like they can with dumbells).Feb 22, 2012 Why does Tom Brady not lift weights? Tom Brady doesn't run, block, or tackle so he doesn't need the strength of other players. His exercises are for flexibility. Since he only thinks and throws he has been able to avoid serious injury. Clearly, a person can be in good shape without weight lifting and not everyone needs it.Oct 27, 2021 What exercises should quarterbacks not do? What Exercises Should Quarterbacks Avoid? The Barbell Bench Press. While it's true than any athlete with restricted shoulder mobility or stability can get an injury while benching, quarterbacks are particularly at risk since they throw so often. ... Biceps Curls. ...
  5. Agreed. And this D is one good pass rusher and a healthy secondary from getting us to the playoffs, assuming we have an offense that can give them some rest. Clottenschotter needs to work on our running game and stop with the one yard passes... please. WTF?
  6. FWIW, streaming froze right before the snap. There was no watching that fucking FG on Surge. Bastards.
  7. We saw a nice little RB emerge. Maybe Dak gained a bit of confidence. Maybe he'll care about winning once again. Nice win!
  8. Thought that kick was going left. Fooled my ass. Whoa!
  9. Hey Defenders, turn around and look at the motherfucking football! That said, we almost had the QB for a loss a play earlier - game over. Needed a spy perhaps. Draw??? Quick pass gets 7 or 8 yds. Well, that's a pretty good kicker
  10. Maybe we can squeeze a FG out of this drive inside the ten
  11. Is Sark just not practicing with this guy? If he's throwing this shit in practice, then you fucking practice more. Thats how QBs get their shit down. WTF is going on on the practice field? If Manning is perfect in practice, then Sark needs to up the pressure to try and find out what is throwing his game off - or at least to get him used to the pressure. Practice practice practice! Fuck!
  12. Note the RB going wide going all open. No "brakes". Where the fuck is that at Texas. They're all trying to run up the middle. They might cut outside for a sec, but then they head back toward the center of the field. The sidelines are the wide open pastures, goddammit.
  13. Steve Sarkesian - Quarterback Whisperer Steve Sarkesian - Quarterback Fucker Upper
  14. Looks like something is going on with his arm. I have seen a QB ruin his arm from weightlifting, thinking that the added strength would help. Not always the case. Weightlifting can fuck up your agility. Gotta wonder... We've all heard of young pitchers who "threw their arm out" and ended their career. Go lift some weights then try and play tennis or go bowling.
  15. Manning will come around. Needs more reps. Good athlete. Fast. Will need to up his game substantially to get past the Georgias of the world
  16. I thought we had a really good third string QB under Ewers. People were saying he'd replace Arch after Arch goes pro. .I saw him play and he was fucking good, but can't remember his name. What happened to him?
