Dallas Cowboys 2025 season thread: 8-9 and divine. The world according to Jerry
Let's see, Denver 37pts. Dallas, 10 pts in first half, 7 in third quarter. I'm shifting some of the blame to a lack of intensity on the offense. Give the 'Boys one add'l sustained drive in the first half, and one in the third qtr would take off 10-14 Denver points. Gives us an Add'l 10pts to 14pts. The offense has also sucked. 10 first half points ain't going to cut it. Dak has indeed sucked... so far. (Give the OC some of the blame)

Well, we won last week, so Dak took the week off and chilled. Getting game-level intense and all two weeks in a row is a bit much to ask a guy this cool. If it isn't too much trouble, he'll hang back and let a few throws go, but only after Denver has a comfortable lead and goes prevent.

The Athletic Scoops Sark interested in NFL Jobs
IIRC, the message we saw yesterday at the start of the MSU game was not a direct quote from Sark saying no such interviews have taken place, but something a little more obscure put out by Sark representative (s).

That pass was too high. Otherwise it's a TD

How Arch turned it around in the 4th Qtr: A film studr for Surly assholes. Come on in!
Holy fuck! Well start doing that shit in the first quarter as well. IIRC, Tom Landry had some unconventional ideas. Seems he had one concept in some big games to keep the score close, then when the chips were down, pull out some things the other team had never seen before. I also recall him (or someone close to him) saying that Landry always saved one play for the end of the game that he knew would absolutely 100% work. Landry of the Flex Defense. Give, but don't break. Let 'em gain some yards, but then shut 'em down when they least expect it... or something like that.

Arch Manning: Scores every way possible
Any kind of delayed handoff in the modern game is just asking for a loss, but trying one on short yardage is pure idiocy. Coach, step away from the chalkboard, please. Start thinking.

Week 9 - Vandy at Texas.
I don't think they'll let Arch on the field under any circumstances. This is at least two for Arch. They're dangerous and it seems the more of them you get, the easier it is to get concussed. Aren't they the reason Aikman retired? Has anyone asked the question: Who is Caldwell's backup?

Remarkable that Caldwell had the presence to identify an opportunity discussed on a blackboard and then call an audible in that situation. The guy has nerves of steel.

There's something about that catch... The foot was coming off the ground and so the catch had to be air-tight and instantaneous. There wasn't one millisecond of time wasted. Pretty goddamn close to a miracle catch. Who the fuck was that? Hats off to that dude.

Actually, I think the coaches figured something out in the fourth to help give Arch some more time. I think they changed something. Arch hung strong in the pocket at least twice got the ball out when I thought there was no way he'd have time.

Summary: Ever see a game where it looked like the team put their heads together and said "We're gonna have to do this ourselves. Fuck the coaches..."? Looks like they found something on both sides of the ball in that fourth quarter. Unlikely win if ever there was one. We haven't seen many comebacks that were better, although it seems we had a good one in California a few years back... Manning's second concussion (at least). He won't be back next week. I think we take down #10 Vanderbilt in Austin. I think both the offense and the defense pick up where they left off in the fourth.

Now that you mention it... we've seen about a thousand shit fades in the last three years. That was a fucking Touchdown.

I saw a lot of worse throws than that one. It coulda been a foot shorter, but then again, it didn't get intercepted - and it was a TD
