  1. are we doing any fucking play action, dammit? That's what we need.
  2. You don't know that. OSU called the TO
  3. Punt the fuckin' ball Sark. Pin em down
  4. Come on baxter, break a tackle
  5. Sort of shows us another reason Manning needed those four starts at the end of last season
  6. How bout swings, quick slants? Wake TF up, Sark
  7. Baxster looks like the same no-show I saw last year, wondering why so many were praising him. Sark isn't helping him either with these plain vanilla calls
  8. Don't worry, we've got Baxter...
  9. The D hasn't shown us very much...
  10. Note to defenders, you cannot hold the receivers
  11. What was Sark doing all off season? Nothing interesting so far. They're gonna break some long balls to #4.
  12. Hope Sark turns Manning loose on the short runs/scrambles. He needs to play his game. He can't hold back.
  13. Waiting for Corso to try and shake hands with the air. Looking mighty feeble.
  14. Jimmy was becoming a god in Dallas and a coaching god in the NFL. He was on his way to a dynasty and becoming the next Tom Landry, one of the greatest of all time, but he had a nasty little owner constantly bitch-jabbing him in the ribs. Jeez, can you imagine having to listen to that moron every effing hour of every effing day? Calls late at night or five in the morning? (Just a guess here)(Hey, Jimmy, I got an idea, or hey, I just thought of a play, or a scheme that if you don't seriously consider I'm gonna whine and bitch till the cows come home.) I know you're putting in 80-hour weeks, but we need to talk about one of the players who told a banjo joke. It's like get the hell off my ass, you little (expletive stream deleted). I don't care what Johnson said later, Jones had to be the reason he left, (and people lie all the time about their opinions of their bosses). Since this is/was America's Team, and finally got its own high-quality documentary, maybe Hollywood should consider a movie next. Say an alternate reality blockbuster, wherein Jerry, after Jimmy's second SB Win, suffers a stroke and can't talk or move. He's confined to a wheelchair and Jimmy takes over the franchise. Jimmy's Cowboys proceed to win the next five Superbowls. He's the toast of the town. He's elected Governor, but continues to coach the Cowboys to victories. And he keeps the fully alert invalid Jones around so that in private moments he can mercilessly taunt the guy. Jerry can only drool. Nobody understands what he's trying to say. I'd watch it.
  15. I thought there was a Schramm connection to that trade. It really screwed the Vikings. Seems like somebody eventually got fired over that. HC maybe?
  16. That's news to me. The documentary, at least Episode 1, has Jimmy and Irvin as Miami Hurricane blood brothers. Re why Jimmy left, I don't care what he said years later. I think he loved that team, but he probably couldn't stand Jerry. Looks to me like the only good thing Jones did (hiring Jimmy), he undid a few years later, and it probably cost us two or three more Super Bowl appearances. I must have missed the news stories where Jimmy came out when he left and said what a wonderful owner Jerry was, and how he loved every minute working with Jones, but that he wanted to go fishing instead.

  18. You got me on the Walker trade - my failing memory. Schramm resigned in April, 1989, the trade happened at the end of the year. Can't help but think Jimmy was the real force behind the deal. On fighter planes? The show simply played a statement from George Bush saying that
  19. According to this docu, Jones was spotted eating with Jimmy (at Tom's favorite Mexican restaurant) and the media went bonkers. Landry had not been notified. It was considered a PR disaster. Also per this documentary, seems Jones said in a press conference that he wanted Tex's job with Schramm over to the side watching on in shock.
