And so it begins... the long hard road toward getting the number one pick in the draft next year. It will require... well it won't require anything really, just keep doing what you've been doing for years. Make fucking up into an art form.

This is who Steve Sarkisian is.
Sark's gone conservative for just about everybody. Not every snap mind you, but he pulls back with a modest lead. All gas no brake, my ass

This is who Steve Sarkisian is.
This talks mostly about Texas. One guy comments that Sark is the best play caller in the country but was babying Manning. Another good point made was that OSU did a hell of a lot better job prepping their new QB than we did ours. CBS Sports

Official Coach Sark Thread of Dominance—haters back off
The word "lazy" came to mind when describing some of his calls yesterday. He's not taking the time during the week to do creative shit. Maybe he's too busy. QB sneak - lazy.
-
This is who Steve Sarkisian is.
Sark desperately needs someone to take off some of the pressure. How about a QB Coach. Someone who's focus would be to study game plans and help Manning with audibles when Sark makes another asscall. Someone to work with Arch on the sidelines to go over the vids etc of the previous drive. What are our last four or five starting QBs doing these days? Great job in Austin. Good money.

Not all that familiar with PK, but I've seen his product and it's legit. Makes sense to me that after this year, someone is going to throw even bigger money at him to become a head coach. Will we be able to continue what he's started here? At this level??? Will we still get the same quality of defensive recruits or will they be following him to wherever? You'd like to think we can keep it going at this high level but there are no guarantees - unless... PK stays on as HC. He hires a DC and then guess what, we finally get an OC.. A better option would be Sark getting an OC and then if PK leaves, get a DC, but I'm not convinced Sark will ever get an OC, and I think that's a worse option than PK as HC with a high profile up and coming OC. Those may well be our two options at the end of the season. I get the feeling Sark is not spending enough time with his QB. That cross field throw on fourth and three took the cake. The kid shoulda known better. The fucking QB keepers up the middle instead of an RPO? How fucking lazy was that call? How lazy was it that we haven't practiced that situation thirty times during the off season? Give me Arch and a sprint to the far sideline flag. How long are we going to watch these Sark busts against good teams? Or am I wrong about all this and PK's not going anywhere?

Arch Manning: Scores every way possible
Still steaming about that disaster we witnessed today, and yeah, I've concluded that Sark is the problem. Fortunately it's one that can be fixed pretty painlessly by hiring an OC. Didn't they do a pre-game or halftime quickie interview and asked Sark something about Manning, and all we got back was Word Salad. The guy needs to write speeches for Kamala. I was quickly reminded of a play he called from the one yard line against Washington, I believe? where he called a pitchout to the FUCKING WEAK SIDE that lost about 7 or ten yards... From the fucking one! I'm not going to be able to watch any fucking football for a week. Kinda thinking he has too many lines in the water. Either he's not putting in a deep dive in studying the next opponent, or he's just lost the ability to know what works in a given situation. We haven't seen what I would call a coordinated attack using deception in years. His play calling against good teams often looks like he pulled the play out of his ass. He's been lucky though because he has amazing talent that bails him out, but this year's offense could be the straw that breaks the camel's back. He isn't making good use of all the tools he's given. One of the biggest plays today was to a tight end, I believe. Great catch. I think it was the only ball thrown to a tight end. WTF. A good TE is an integral part of any offense. We're just getting a hodgepodge of asscalls that work often enough. (Is asscalls one word or two?) I can't understand why in the fuck he hasn't brought in a killer running back. That was always a Texas strength. Are star RBs avoiding UT because they're afraid of getting lost in the asscalls? Today was a fucking mess.

Sounds like a real bullshit rule. Sounds like a board of governors who think if they don't make changes, they haven't earned their pay. Too many fucking rules will ruin any game. Apparently now, if an offensive player runs out of bounds and doesn't want the clock to stop, well that's his fucking call. What's the reasoning? We don't want someone to get hurt trying to stay in bounds??? We don't want to penalize a team for running outside because they could accidentally stop the clock when they're trying to run it out??? or we don't want them to hurt their little brains having to think. Let's let the coaches do that???

If you remember there was a problem even before the first play of the game. A short time out was called and the body language between Manning and Sark looked like "I can't hear..." and "turn it up." Maybe the crowd noise bothered him the entire game. More than we realize. Iterfered with audibles, perhaps.
