  1. That last deep shot by Dak had a "don't give a shit, let's just get this thing over with" vibe.
  2. He'll be too sore... a GILF, maybe
  3. What this offense has needed is Dak running the ball - say four, five times a game. Blocking back #40 is worthless. He had no idea what he was doing. Didn't want to hit anyone. Go Cowboys!
  4. Well, we did win against a team that had won the previous two NCs, with the same QB. Think we surprised a few people.
  5. More like Sark played with his fucking steak for three quarters, risking it might get cold before scarfing it down. He's the one who apparently didn't take Wyoming seriously. We saw last week what he can do when he puts his mind to it, but last night.... The play calling in the first half was abysmal. You gotta tenderize their front line early on with a decent running attack, which we have, but which wasn't being used... not to mention tenderize their cornerbacks with some pulling guards. It looked to me like Wyoming was throwing the kitchen sink at Ewers, and Sark didn't help him out with better calls. More play action, please. I really like watching Worthy with the ball, and him returning punts is a kick, so to speak, but there's a reason nobody uses their top receivers and running backs to field punts - because sooner or later they're gonna get injured. Worthy is far too valuable to this team as a reciever. He is a speed demon that relies on perfect coordination and agility. You don't want to see him get dinged up, because such problems will compound faster in such a lightweight package. Not as sky high on the season as I was Saturday morning, but if Sark can get his act together, and at this point it apears to be a big if, we could find ourselves playing for a National Championship.
  6. Betch Alabama tried to talk him out of taking the Texas job, promising him Saban's in one to two years. He's in the Cat bird seat right now. Time for all gas no brakes.
  7. tv247.us. Check it out. Watched FS1 and Skip this morning. Better yet is https://v2.sportsurge.net/home2/#/groups/0 very reliable. use a good popup blocker or click several times on the play icon
  8. Like first home game or something. As a freshman, we drew fifty yard line seats 4 rows up. Thought, boy I'll do this every week. The play before, the new QB, red-headed kid I think, Eddie? Phillips, who replaced Street, maybe, went back to pass and was bliind-sided. The ball kicked out sideways and bounced half way across the field, two teams in pursuit. It beat them to the sidelines, so we had one more shot. The crowd was silent, praying for a miracle. 20 seconds on the clock. Then came Spreyer. Unfucking believable. Crossed the goal line with 12 seconds left. The stadium erupted like you wouldn't believe. When the game ended, seemed like everyone rushed the field. It was mayhem. Next day, the Daily Texan had a pic of Spreyer making that catch with Tommy What's his name, Prothro, the UCLA coach staring straight ahead, mouth agape.
  9. Didn't Thomas make a sideline catch late in that USC game where he had to drag defenders to get out of bounds and stop the clock. Seems it was a crucial moment and we wouldn't have won if he didn't make that play. The details are fuzzy at this poiint, but it seems it was a move he never got a lot of credit for. Anyone remember what happened on that?
  10. White has joined the landing team for the first manned mission to Mars scheduled for 2030
  11. Thanks for the rewind. Awesome highlights. I can't believe how improved this team is. Top to bottom. 450 yds of offense in Tuscaloosa. 100 more than Alabama. Sark and staff have done wonders with these guys. What a team effort. Six passes of 30 yards or more... Huh? They spread the ball around! did they ever. Play hard, stay healthy. We owe a little payback to the Big 12. Gonna be an awesome year. Reminding me of the good old days.
  12. Ewers has a great throwing motion. Tossing some tight fucking spirals. The spirals reminds me of Aikman. I'm also reminded that Staubach couldn't throw a spiral if his life depended on it - but he got the ball there. Takes a great QB to have a great team. Looking like a very cool season of football coming up.
  13. Last Week's Prediction: Texas 28 Alabama 24 This week's: Texas 49 Wyoming 16 Austin crowd ecstatic. Four defensive takeaways. Ewers' takes control - confidence grows. Passing game picks up steam. Several kick-ass runs.
  14. Offensive play calling has been excellent. Unpredictable. Receivers getting open. Fingers crossed on this season
  15. That's the kind of runback where ninety percent of the time the guy with the ball wanders right into the only tackler within twenty yards. Didn't happen this time. Kudos
  16. Against Bama. That may be the biggest stat of the night. What it means for this team's future. Sacks can kill ya. Sacks on a young QB is suicide. Quinn showed what he's capable of tonight if he gets just a little time in the pocket. Don't know how we did it, but the future is looking very bright. Very bright indeed.
  17. Offense, defense, special teams, coaching: A's all around. Ewers - giant leap forward. I can now watch him without cringing/gnashing my teeth
