Texas Offseason 2025 - Archmania Is Upon Us
Fuck no. Vince was damn fast, but I don't know that he was any faster than Manning. That 65-yarder Manning put up early on - nobody could catch him. That's fast. Vince - everyone knew he was gonna run that ball into the end zone against USC. He just dropped back and his instincts took over. Coulda used some of that in our final game the last two years. A quick burn into the end zone and we take a Natty. Ten fucking yards (or so). Sorta just did some math. A sprinter runs at about 7 yards per second. The defender brain's reaction time is a quarter sec. Probably takes at least a half second? for him to get rolling. If that's true, it's about five yards before the defender's doing shit. Manning's quick. Vince was quick.

Texas Offseason 2025 - Archmania Is Upon Us
Arch is a better passer than Vince and he's fast. Vince owned the quick dash to the sidelines for a ten yard gain. Often he'd grab an additional five or ten and sometimes 30 or 40. But the ten yarder is the key to keeping Arch healthy and keeping the Defense off-balance. If they can shut it down, they're leaving a devastating RB/WR open. If Sark only uses it once or twice a game, he'll be hamstringing the offense. Let's see Arch moving out of the pocket and finding one of our speedsters five yards behind the defender. Easy Capisi. Conference title coming up.

Nice 4-min vid on UT's Bobby Lane. 3 NFL Championships at Pittsburgh. "From the goal line to the end zone to the bar afterwards..." "Had a few at halftime".

AFC Championship Game: Bills at Chiefs
The refs are lazy and especially the players. Holding is their heroin. On both sides of the ball they are more than willing to cheat. The only question they have is how noticeable was their "hold". All the holding on both sides of the ball cheapen the game and likely have made it far lower scoring and less exciting. Somewhere along the line someone decided that grabbing a jersey was okay. That's bullshit. Let's see how offenses would compensate if blockers couldn't hold rushers. It's evolved now to where defenders are draped all over receivers by the time the ball gets there. They're fucking lazy. It's boring and infuriating. It puts the games in the hands of the refs. Any fucking announcer who says "let them play" is a moron and should be drummed out of the league. Every fucking game comes down to referee calls or non-calls. Fuck it. You wanna turn it around? Every holding call (and there wouldn't be many) would be confirmed by quick replay. The second holding call against any player results in a half game immediate suspension, or use a twenty minute penalty box concept. That's for any holding (offense or defense) and early hits on receivers. That stuff used to not be allowed. A team ;plays its heart out all year to have some lazy or crooked ref shit on their season. The league offices and their refs are a bunch of pussies and cowards. Go along to get along.

All time Texas QB Ranking Discussion - 2025
When it comes to a UT QB's foray into the NFL, certainly nobody comes even close to the long storied career of Bobby Layne. I suspect he engineered dozens and dozens of miracle comebacks both at Texas and in the pros. He was also a great college pitcher, as was Street. Pretty sure Layne won an NFL Championship or two. That said, different times... Vince was a phenomenon. And he engineered a last second comeback in the greatest college football game ever played against two-peat USC in front of a massive audience. He refused to let us lose. How bout "co-greatest" ever. C-GOAT. Colt... Colt. Too bad he got injured against Alabama. Too bad our fucking coach hadn't given his backup many real-time fucking snaps. We'd have won that game. With a healthy Colt, slam dunk Street... Maybe fourth.

AFC Championship Game: Bills at Chiefs
Once they get the first down, you let 'em score the TD. That's your best bet, at least until offenses figure out that the 40sec clock is a bullshit rule and begin taking a knee at the one yard line.

I think I've figured out what's going on with the hiring of these coaches. I'll let you fill in the blanks, but it answers a lot of questions. Here's a clue: I've alway wondered about that year McCarthy spent in his "barn" studying "trends and techniques."

It's all about money. Schott has the worst resume in the league. Jones must be the cheapest SOS on the planet. He is the proverbial king who sits on his throne counting his money while the world around him goes to shit. He must be greedy beyond belief. An embarrassment to all of Texas. Three guesses why Jimmy bailed, and the first two don't count. I think Jones secretly hates Texans. Possibly because the Longhorns beat his precious Razorbacks so many times. He is a bane on the state of Texas. Fuck, he may even hate Cowboy fans

Stupid fucking decision. Pin the Chiefs deep in their own territory, hope for a turnover or maybe a quick punt. At least they'd be 80+ yds from a TD. Stupid

This motherfucker looks like a winner. Success at SMU and elsewhere. Has a big, in your face, kinda nose. From Ark. This is what you want if you're looking for a young up n comer. Prior to UConn, Lashlee helped Auburn to the 2013 SEC Championship, a BCS Championship berth and the 2016 Sugar Bowl, managing one of the more prolific offenses in college football during his tenure. The 2013-14 seasons were the best back-to-back offensively in Auburn history, and the 2014 squad set an Auburn record for total offense. Lashlee also served as the quarterbacks coach and demonstrated impressive ability to develop talent. In 2013, Auburn had the second biggest turnaround in college football history. Starting QB Nick Marshall did not practice until August, but Lashlee tutored the junior college transfer to 3,044 yards of total offense (1,976 passing, 1,068 rushing), 14 TD passes and 12 rushing TDs.
