  1. Nice catch Livingstone. Good adjustment, I suppose
  2. Sark seems fascinated by the short side of the field
  3. Glad we got that last TD. Still have some breathing room
  4. 14 jacking around. Go get him
  5. Arch looks more in control of the situation than I've seen him. His scrambles are controlled. He's looking for and finding receivers. Dodging tackles, breaking some
  6. Ball went right thru a defender's hands. Maybe had a little zip on it
  7. Talk about threading the needle. Need a screenshot of that
  8. Sweet! Nice on Arch. 38 much better than 34!
  9. Wisener moves the chains
  10. I'm asking because it changed a second and 2 into a 3rd and 4, then got the pic. Need more of that shit
  11. Arch is looking pretty legit
  12. If you want something done right, do it yourself
  13. Brilliant Defensive Coordinator - or Offensive Line Coach
  14. Claire Danes, with a little makeup (please), could play all UT football fans. Other moments
  15. Re Lamb and Pickens: They'd have never done this with Jimmy Johnson as their coach. One of the two would spend the game on the sidelines and very possibly find himself looking for a job the following week. You can't play at peak level when you've been up all night - unless you're taking something to wake you up. They should trade Lamb in the off season.
  16. Defender was holding him all the way. You can't call a pass uncatchable if the receiver can't run his route. It's high fucking time the refs started calling holding on plays like that. Last time I checked, holding was still a penalty. What they ought to do is sideline any player for a quarter or a half (offense or defense) after his second hold in any game. I'll take that call over the non-call on the blatant pass interference against New Orleans (vs the Rams, I think) a few years back. The NFL and its players have gotten lazy.
  17. With a running attack that prolific, we're sure to attract the best RB recruits in the nation
  18. If we had prepared for that play, we wouldn't have been 7 yards (and backing) behind the recovery line. The only way to stop that play is to have your people at the recovery line (10 yds from the spot of the kick, usually the 45 YL) with some ready to move up and grab it before it crosses that point with others ready to back them up. These coaches might, I repeat "might" know a few things about football, but they are terrible game day decision makers and they don't have a clue when it comes to practicing something until you've got it down pat. It almost feels like they are afraid to piss off some prima donas on the team so they play Mr. Nice Guy as if they're in a popularity contest. I saw one coach screaming on Saturday (at #24). We should have seen that from every one of them at the start of the year. Maybe by this point screaming wouldn't be necessary. This team is looking to me like one of the worst coached Texas teams in history. I suppose we've had plenty of teams who weren't as talented as this one, but I can't remember one that repeatedly made so many mistakes. The coaching staff needs to go. Wouldn't bother me if that included Sark.
  19. Our secondary sucks. So many plays - some critical plays where the receiver was wide open.
  20. Not surprised. I haven't been keeping up with recruiting, and at this point I'm afraid to try.
  21. Seems to me Sark did a really shitty job in assessing Arch Manning's capabilities or a really shitty job in developing those capabilities. He put all his eggs in one basket and it ain't workin' out. You need a strong starting QB and a strong backup who gets plenty of playing time. The Starter needs to get us big leads and the backup needs to come in and score as many points as possible - you know, "all gas blah blah blah." Meaning not just hand off the ball a few fucking times in the fourth quarter. If the Starter can't get us big leads, he needs to sit down and give the backup a shot. When the starter struggles, pull him. The Sark/Manning combo has been a clusterfuck. Seems I saw some pretty awesome highlights outta Trey Owens, who I presume is long gone because Sark made a fucking mess of things. I wonder if anyone has heard any rumors about how many hours a day Sark works. I gotta believe he isn't willing to put in what's necessary to take us to the next level. Being a head coach isn't for everybody.
  22. Undercoached, Underpracticed. The team wasn't ready for this game. Some of the blockers looked like they'd never played football. If the rusher wasn't right where he was supposed to be, the blocker looked lost. Terribly dissapointed for the players. Heartbreaking, really. Arch - needed more reps - maybe a little more practice time would have been helpful. How bout running the first team D against the offense in practice. Throw in some wrinkles. Walk them thru their mistakes. Receivers - pretty pathetic. Looked like they were hearing footsteps... like they weren't ready for prime time... nervous. Mistakes - all over the place. Coaching... Coaching - Sark may be in over his head. He regressed. Maybe he's lost interest in being the best. Special teams. How hard is it to practice some onside kick coverage? ST should be easy to coach. Very straightforward goals and very few variants. Penalties - Weak minds ferment unnecessary penalties. Secondary - A disgrace.
