  1. Just take the motherfucker out of the game. Sit him on his $60million ass for a quarter. Fuck Prescott and Jerry Jones
  2. A lot's been made of Farrell's transformation for the Joker, but you should see him in the mini-series The North Water (2021). https://www.imdb.com/title/tt7660970/?ref_=nv_sr_srsg_3_tt_8_nm_0_in_0_q_the%20north You won't recognize him, and his Henry Drax is one of the most despicable motherfuckers ever created in Hollywood. The story itself is pretty incredible with some amazing moments (the Polar Bear comes to mind). Very authentic. A dark, frigid 19th Century journey about Whaling. Spellbinding at times. 4 Episodes
  3. I think the show is awesome. Crisp dialogue, solid cast, everything works. Tailor made for Vaughn.
  4. Two trees (maybe a third). I've always had pretty good luck with trees by not doing anything to them. Two in the back yard need a little attention (I suspect) First a fifteen foot Red Oak. Looks a little peaked, Got fairly dark green this summer, but didn't grow all that much. I tried to keep it watered. Seems to have a bark problem from some kind of mysterious incident that took place in its past. So to make up for years of neglect, what do I need to do to turn this into the most awesome tree in the neighborhood? A cheap surface fertilizer seems in order. I hate that fucking metal rim around the base and if you can give me a good reason to get rid of it, consider it done. Also, do I need to do anything to that scar at the base? VAseline? Suntan oil? Bondo? Debark that outer shell? Then there's the sister tree (or trees), that almost didn't make it a freeze or two ago. The main tree died, but seems some of the, for lack of a better word, "offshoots" are going pretty strong, but need a trimming. How high up should I go. Also, some of the smaller limbs shoot way out. Seems they need to be cut back as well. Big question, when is the best time to do this? What about that sub-offshoot, coming out of offshoot #1 about 8" off the ground? Could look pretty cool someday? Thanks in advance for any advice I might get on this (assuming it doesn't involve sticking the trees where the sun don't shine)!
  5. Both Jordan Peterson and his daughter had some form of auto-immune problem which caused some severe problems and IIRC his daughter lost a wrist or an ankle from it. Try to find some of his early talks (a few years ago), because he gets into some detail. IIRC, again, his daughter changed her college routine/diet and discovered that wheat or gluten "allergy" or something like that seemed to be fucking her (and him) up big time and could have had genetic roots. (Allergies, or your body's reaction to chemicals, pollutants, etc., can manifest themselves in a lot more ways than a cough or skin rash, and you can be allergic to more than dust or pollen. You may not even realize what is causing your problems.) There's still alot we don't know. /In any case, their turnaround was remarkable. He lost a ton of weight and returned to excellent health. And apparently she's fine as well Changing your diet is a great start. Read up on clearing your body of potential antigens. The theory is that you start a liquid or modified liquid diet, and for a day or two only eat/drink shit almost nobody is allergic to such. Usually restricted juices (pineapple) or just water. A fast, actually. After a day or so the hunger pangs disappear. You get weak fast, but you feel alert. Then when your system is clear, you add one food at a time - say potato. Next day pasta. etc. If you suddenly feel tired, you've hit something your system has a bad reaction to, because food shouldn't make you tired, or so the theory goes. Good luck!
  6. Wrong. I think Ewers is the right call to start the game, and stay the starter the following month even if he has a bad game in Dallas. And I think he'll probably have a good game, but if for some reason the layoff and or his injury have taken a toll and make a victory over OU look doubtful, I think you gotta give Manning a shot at pulling it out. I don't give a fuck what happened two years ago. This is about where we are right now. We need to do whatever it takes to win every game. Sark doesn't need to worry about boosting Ewers ego. He's headed for the NFL and a big payday. His decision after two and a half or three quarters needs to be what is gonna work to get us the win, not some knee-jerk spur of the moment decision, like taking points off the board for a fourth and three. And if the team is hurting at that point, he should be willing to try a fix at QB. If it doesn't work, he can put Ewers back in. This is just a mental exercise. Tough for a couple of you who can only hurl insults, but it's a legitimate question. Let's hope we never have to ask it during a big game.
  7. Looks like a Marx Brothers movie
  8. Has this question been asked? This situation can arise anytime you have two Stellar QBs. A little mind exercise. I think it's a good bet Quinn starts against OU. If I'm wrong, missed some news, whatever, skip to next comment. But let's say he starts and looks like a QB who hasn't started a game in a month. Timing's off. Throws a couple of pics, takes a few sacks - just a possible scenario, mind you, and the Horns just can't seem to get on track. After two and a half quarters, the offense has put up ten or so points, and OU has a 14pt lead and their offense is working..,.. Should Sark, at that point, put in our budding superstar to try and change the dynamics? What if we get to the fourth quarter, Quinn's in and nothing's changed? I think Sark needs to do it. It's not a changing of the guard, it's just a good backup QB doing what he's supposed to do. I think Quinn can handle the pressure in the weeks going forward, and I'd expect him to start again the week after OU.
  9. Maybe we shoulda taken the three points off the board and punted. We're lucky Sark learned his lesson the easy way - with a nice lead against a mediocre team
  10. For all you motherfuckers who missed the sixties and seventies, welcome to the beginning of a decade or more of Longhorn championship football.
  11. Sark on Manning: "...with me ripping his ass even though he was 21 of 26..."
  12. They scored one fucking TD. Got a couple of Field Goals. The Defense had a very good day. Offense looked solid. A few hiccups. First SEC game. Giant involved crowd. Get blue outta there. Manning/Wisener/Bond attack. MWB
  13. We might drop out of that #1 slot. Wouldn't bother me. A little extra motivation for OU
  14. The kid may be better than all his predecessors
  15. Yeah, it's my fault. Fortunately, whatever it is is minor. He'll be a hundred percent or near by Wed
  16. Arch may be tired and limping. Maybe time for third striing QB
