  1. $SOXS only goes down... don't bet against this market.
  2. Existing 2020 status' now extended through 2021. Additionally, they are lowering the qualification criteria for the remainder of the year.
  3. Holding on for $40... might take a few months but I like what I’m seeing. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  4. Called AA today about a trip I booked with miles that I had to cancel. They took care of it quickly and refunding all fees associated as well. If you have not seen AA (and likely others) have extended statuses through 2021 and also lowered re-qualification. It also looks like AA miles earned by CC can be used toward million miler status this year which is a bonus.
  5. My tomatoes are growing but peppers and strawberries are lagging. I think the issue is the area I have the beds don't get much sun until the afternoon. Last summer my tomato plants went wild late but by the time they started producing it was so hot they started wilting and getting bad. With my small lot I'm just not sure there is a good way to get more morning sun without chopping down the big oak trees. I do have a little space in a planter on the other side of the house that the daughter and I have added a herb garden so at least we don't totally strake out. But it's outside the fence so vegetables might not survive the critters.
  6. However to Eddie's point the price you agree to pay on the car is a different process than how you agree to pay for it. For the savvy surly's you would get to an agreement on price first with the salesman before you talk through financing options (as that's someone different in a lot of situations).
  7. I thought you just had to carry full coverage on financed cars? Has that changed? But I guess the benefit of comprehensive would be that in case of a total loss you would be covered for the portion your are upside down?
  8. Good for you. I really like it long term as well but didn't buy when we were talking about it last week. Instead set a few buys lower that never hit. I'll keep watching for somewhere in the 60's to pick some up.
  9. I was considering moving some of my 401K funds into less risky investments after this decent rebound. Now I'm not so sure I want to mess with it at all. Btw, when someone here said we would have been happy buying BYND in the 60s long term. Well fast forward a week at that's a quick 25% return!
  10. Longer financing (especially at 0%) sounds pretty attractive right now because paying cash would mean that you are either taking money from investments that have just taking a huge hit or paying with cash savings that could be reinvested into a market that "could" be an amazing buying opportunity over the next few months. Plus with the market uncertainty having additional liquidity on hand seems like a decent plan. Sure, being upside down is not perfect but if the intention is to keep that car for long after it's paid off then that only matters when you are forced to trade it in.
  11. Agreed. While I've been financing cars for my wife for years I've had no payment on a car I own for a long time. The 84months at 0% is intriguing as I think car prices will come down to the point that it makes sense. Plus car prices have come up considerably in the last 10-15 years. I think I would rather pay an extra grand or two on the price and have the extra cash flow. My bigger plan is actually refinancing the house to save enough per month that car payment is a wash. My car is 16 years old... it's time that I treat myself.
  12. I looked into my tax appraisal a bit more and the increase is from an ADU that’s now showing up this year. It’s a structure built years ago that actually houses all the pool equipment with a sun deck on top. So now this is showing up for 2020 and I’m on the hook for a significant amount more in taxes. Question to the group is have you seen a structure like this classified as an ADU on the tax rolls before? How did they decide to put this on their this year? Are they walking the neighborhoods and saw this and figured is what a garage apartment? If it’s a mistake I suppose ProTax will be able to have it taken off however that means I will owe them for the tax savings when it was a literal mistake not the good work of being down actual appraised rates. 13. Well I retained ProTax despite their rate change so hopefully they can do the job. My improvements went up not quite 10% despite my immediate neighbors stayed unchanged from last year. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  14. Might get another shot at that price too as this keep going. Are these 3x leveraged? So you could hedge/offset losses by buying about 1/3 of what you are holding if we fall?
  15. Adding to the Chamberlain MyQ req's. I upgraded to it several year ago and it's great as you can now control from anywhere as well as check if the door is still open and get notifications each time the door is opened or closed.
  16. Tell me when to sell.. right now I'm enjoying it
  17. Franklin for lunch! Don’t worry... turkey is for the kids. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  18. Yep, if there is a lasting impact on school and work where more is done remote overall usage of this and similar platforms should go up. But hey, I'm also buying under valued Oil companies ($MTDR) so what do I know?!?
  19. I still like it at $100 or less. Many of the accounts being used are non being paid for and they are just indoctrinating all the school aged kids on preferred platform.
  20. Got to buy the dip! I bought $ZM when it hit 109 today. And still looking for new entries for $WORK and $TEAM
