  2. Make the most of every day. Pray for an awesome trip. My father had Parkinson’s... Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  3. Usually don’t like white wine, but really enjoyed the 2016 Frank Family Lewis Vineyards reserve Chardonnay. Actually has legs like a red and is layered without being overly complex. Would recommend. The non reserve is not near as good. Their 2015 is fantastic. Still trying to find more. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  4. Always liked sitting on the patio under the Eiffel Tower at Mon Ami Gabi. Good food / Bloody Mary hits just right. Great people watching hash-house ago-go is over the top. Insane portion sizes. Actually above expectations across the board I usually don’t do many brunches or breakfast in Vegas so that’s all I got Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  5. My sources tell me it’s 100% open for business. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  6. Both the Waldorf and cosmo are easily walkable. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  7. Aria has been our goto for a while. To me it hits the mark for what you pay for. You don’t have to be a whale from China or a tatted up 30k-aire to belong. Plus it has a great location on the strip. Good to Great restaurants. Lively poker room and casino. talked to Daniel negreanu one night there. Down to earth Cool guy. I don’t gamble a shit ton but I seam to only win at the Aria and Bellagio for what it’s worth. Love that the sports book is non smoking. Pizza place next to it is really good. I think it helps it’s not too big and flies under the radar. Want a be’s who just cashed their paycheck and bought a shirt they can’t afford are filling up Wynn/Encore etc, they can’t afford it or take care of staff so the staff in turns treats everyone like their assholes. Still think the Bellagio gets more big money players anyways. Or you can use your Marriott points and stay at the old mandarin which is right next door. Which still has the best bar with a view in Vegas. It’s probably where I’ll stay the next time. Completely non smoking. No casino. Quiet pool. Killer bar. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  8. J & M should be your first choice. Then again, dockers? Really? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  9. Sequoia Grove, great choice. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  10. happy to report Flores In Whitney is really really good. Worth the trip. Owners are extremely nice, friendly and engaging. Brisket is a 8.8/10. Most moist I’ve had in a long time. Ribs were good, turkey was really good Best side was the jalapeño cream corn. Perfectly balanced heat and sweet corn Bottom line, not a top 10, but definitely a top 20. Very well executed que, my only critique to not put it in top ten is that it needs a bit more smoke flavor. If it had that it would be Snow’s in Lexington great. Will go back Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  11. Also recommend Topolobampo. Freaking outstanding! Went for lunch. Killer margaritas. Cheviche was excellent. I had some kind of blackened soft shell crabs in a tomato broth taco. Insanely good. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  12. Heading there a week from tomorrow. Looking forward to it. On the other hand, Guess family bbq here in Waco has finally brought really good que to Waco. If your wife drags your ass to magnolia to buy over priced home goods, walk across and get in line. Will report back on Flores Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  13. Boxster S is a great car. The trick is finding a reliable one that has not been run into the ground or neglected. Like mentioned before, an out of warranty Porsche can be very costly. I would research common issues to look for based on the model year. Plus, if buying from an individual, I would grill the hell out of them upkeep, teenaged drivers and wrecks. Once you find a good one you will be hooked. Great cars. Makes you smile every time you pull out of the driveway or finish washing it Saturday morning. Best of luck w the purchase. 14. I would recommend getting a certified with extended warranty built into price. Everything is extremely expensive. Not worth owning one out of warranty in my opinion. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  15. Also thought Toyota messed up the forerunner, especially in the front. The back is growing on me though.... Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  16. Just custom ordered a new panamera hybrid S for the wife. Love the power/gas mileage of our current one. This one has twice the battery power and crazy amount of combined horsepower and torque. Currently getting 700-800 miles per tank of gas, honestly thinking I’ll get close to 1000 miles per tank due to her driving ritual. Oh, also bought a new 4x4 Denali the same day to haul kids to soccer so they don’t tear up mommas new ride. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  17. The big fisherman brings back a lot of memories. My father loved that place. Think he ate there twice a week. Every time we visited I knew we were headed there. Definitely a cool restaurant. Felt like everyone in Rockport was there either working or eating. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  18. Seriously lived off that growing up. Thought it was the greatest thing ever. Another happy tear.... Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  19. In the refrigerated dough section, bottom bin, usually jammed I a corner so you can’t see You have to babysit them when you cook them. Easy to take your eye off and smoke one beyond oblivion Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  20. The f@$k is going on? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  21. Went with the Barnett Cab at dinner Saturday. Really good. Needed to open up a little. But by the second glass it was on point. Still have a bottle of Rattlesnake at the house. May have to open it up soon. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  22. These are freaking fantastic. Corn or wheat ones not so much. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  23. Eleuthera is amazing. Went last summer. Absolutely amazing. Only two resorts worth staying. French leave or the cove. It’s Not Hawaii. If you need to be entertained all the time then it’s not for you. If you need to eat at chili’s, it’s not for you. People are friendly. You will be the only couple on a 5 mile stretch of beach for hours and the water is amazing Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
