  1. Putin will agree to stop attacking Kyiv and other cities currently under Ukrainian control... for a while. And then after U.S. troops are gone and Russia has licked its wounds, he'll take another bite of the country. It's so apparent it's like we're living in a fucking Greek tragedy.
  2. Maybe it's just me, but I'm okay with Ukraine not being in NATO (at least in the near future) as long as we continue to funnel them weapons, even if not boots on the ground.
  3. I’m digging it. First compelling medical drama in a while that’s not nauseating or pretentious like most of the network ones.
  4. I mean, I guess this is a step in the right direction, but I wonder if he toned down the pro-Russian rhetoric only because he was interviewing Zelenskyy. Also, "I would like Ukraine to remain a country," is a pretty fucking low bar.
  5. Because I see it as the objective taking of a life, and I don't need religion to argue the humanity of an embryo or fetus. But I feel like that debate is for a different thread. That's certainly part of it. There's things I agree and disagree with concerning both parties... I'm sure that's the case with most people. Even when I tolerated a GOP that was less interested in immigrants, refugees, the condemned, or our allies overseas, Trump has ramped up antagonism to all of these to levels unseen in the GOP pre-2016.
  6. Hi. Lifelong and fairly religious Catholic here (Mass every week and on holy days, etc). I was also a Republican from the day I could vote until '22 or so before I finally gave up on the GOP. But even before then, I've always been a Never-Trumper. I voted third-party in '16, abstained in '20, and voted for Harris in '24. Before Trump, I felt a somewhat uneasy alliance with conservative evangelicals. While we wanted the same thing politically, I feel like there was still a level of mutual distrust of one another. I was previously a Republican because I believed it reflected Christian values more than the alternative, largely because of the issue of abortion which made things pretty black-and-white in my mind. But now, post-Roe, that dragon is slain, and looking at other moral issues--the treatment of immigrants and refugees, the environment, and capital punishment--not to mention Russian aggression, I now consider myself an independent conservative who votes more for Democrats than Republicans, and will likely continue to do so as long as MAGA runs that party.
  7. How is this better than Bally? At least with DirecTV, Bally came with it, along with every one of my other channels. Now I have to pay separately for this when the same app shows Stars games for free??
  8. Agreed. I don't think it makes sense for any AAC team to go to this version of Pac, but this would be a great move for Texas State while its hot.
  9. I'm sure the successor will be much more to your liking...
  10. I hope you fucks are happy now. Taking the same gig at SMU.
  11. The family friend of ours asked for the damn princess costume. Wtf?
  12. Serious question, can we poach Nate Oats from Bama?
