  1. Awesome. Great rec's so far, thanks so much. Also, this may be a stupid question, but can you show up to these vineyards and buy a glass or two at the bar and stroll around some on the grounds, or are you forced to pay for a tasting if you want to go in?
  2. The wife and I are making our first trip to Napa/Sonoma this year (late July), and I'm looking forward to digesting this thread to help plan our trip. I'm mentally preparing myself to drop a lot of cash already, but if there are ways to not spend exorbitantly, I'm all ears. Right now we're planning for just two full days in wine country with two more in the Bay Area. Wife wants to hit up Napa AND Sonoma, so I figured we'd do one each day. -What are the best wineries to check out if you're not a wine snob and just want a nice glass or two while enjoying cool scenery? -What are our best options for getting around (drive our own rental, hire someone to drive us around, use uber/lyft)? -Where should we stay if we're planning on doing Napa one day and Sonoma the other?
  3. Fair enough. I had the perception that Ikea stuff was shoddy, but will check them out.
  4. FFS, just where's the best place to buy a nice kitchen table w/o getting gouged in price?
  5. It's not that I can't following IKEA instructions, it's that I don't want to, and am okay with paying a little more for higher quality.
  6. Among other things, we need to buy a new kitchen table. Where's the best place to get one without spending a lot, but also where I don't have to fucking assemble it myself? I'm in Dallas if that makes a difference. Gracias
  7. Do wins and losses not mean shit anymore?

    And that's fair.

Anyone else hear about this story before seeing a pic of the mom?
  10. Saint Austin replied to Pancho's topic in Lulz
    Triggered.
  11. Makes sense. We'll probably be in the same conference by then.
  12. Technically, he has a bike already, but his dumbass uncle (my brother-in-law) bought him one that "looks cool," but is completely wrong for his size and helping him learn how to ride. He's five now, and I want to get him a solid beginner's bicycle. Suggestions?
  13. No shit? I guess we did it just in time.
  14. I feel like most of the good places are on the far side of town from me. Are there any good spots people like east of Central, or dare I say, east of White Rock??
  15. Anybody watching this? It seems extremely MEH
  16. We survived our trip to Disney World with the 5- and 3-year-olds. Did two days at Magic Kingdom, one at Hollywood Studios, and one at Animal Kingdom. Wife did a good job researching fastpasses, though y'alls suggestions definitely helped as well. Kids really enjoyed the Halloween party at MK, as well as the Star Wars/Jedi training stuff at Hollywood. The photo pass system was also cool, where you could get your picture taken by any of the park photographers, have them scan your armband, and have the photos uploaded to your app, even though it was kinda glitchy. Looking forward to a trip years down the road though when they're bigger so I can get a Duff Bear at Moe's at Universal, as well as some blue milk at Mos Eisley Cantina when that opens at Hollywood late next year.
  17. I like it, too. Not as good as early Sunny, but still funnier than just about anything else on nowadays.
  18. Went to Pie Tap on Sunday and was really impressed. Will return.
  19. We'll be at Disney World next week with our 5- and 3-year-old boys. Any last-minute advice (aside from backing out)?
  20. Have been to Smoke before, but not for brunch. Will definitely check it out. Thanks!
  21. I'm open to all kinds of food, but am on the east side of town (I guess that would have been helpful to mention).

My brunch is less hair-of-the-dog-brunch and more post-church-with-family-brunch at this stage in my life, but where are the better places to go nowadays?
