  1. Anybody watching this? It seems extremely MEH
  2. We survived our trip to Disney World with the 5- and 3-year-olds. Did two days at Magic Kingdom, one at Hollywood Studios, and one at Animal Kingdom. Wife did a good job researching fastpasses, though y'alls suggestions definitely helped as well. Kids really enjoyed the Halloween party at MK, as well as the Star Wars/Jedi training stuff at Hollywood. The photo pass system was also cool, where you could get your picture taken by any of the park photographers, have them scan your armband, and have the photos uploaded to your app, even though it was kinda glitchy. Looking forward to a trip years down the road though when they're bigger so I can get a Duff Bear at Moe's at Universal, as well as some blue milk at Mos Eisley Cantina when that opens at Hollywood late next year.
  3. I like it, too. Not as good as early Sunny, but still funnier than just about anything else on nowadays.
  4. Went to Pie Tap on Sunday and was really impressed. Will return.
  5. We'll be at Disney World next week with our 5- and 3-year-old boys. Any last-minute advice (aside from backing out)?
  6. Have been to Smoke before, but not for brunch. Will definitely check it out. Thanks!
  7. I'm open to all kinds of food, but am on the east side of town (I guess that would have been helpful to mention).
  8. My brunch is less hair-of-the-dog-brunch and more post-church-with-family-brunch at this stage in my life, but where are the better places to go nowadays?
  9. So I found myself watching some of this with the wife last night after wrapping up work... Apparently one guy was on the last season, but was cut when a girl who's now on this season said she was still interested in said guy? And then last night, the same guy is getting approached by the girl who dumped him for hanging out with the original girl? I don't have a stake in the game, but it seems like they're just fucking with this dude.
  10. Not a fan. Looks like a Super Nintendo game. But you're right about it being crazy difficult.
  11. Makes sense. They’re 42” and 38”.
  12. Did all of us watch it on a flight?? It was hilarious.
  13. Sister-in-law bought my boys a Donkey Kong game. It sucks ass.
  14. ~$20? I don't care about name brand. I'm more than happy to buy them off a rack at a discount store/wherever as long as they do their job.
  15. I'm going to Disney World for this first time (as an adult) with my 5- and 3-year-old boys this fall. What should we use our FastPasses on?
  16. Any recs for a pair that serves its purpose, won't cost and arm and a leg, and won't immediately fall apart?
  17. And offend the citizens of French descent?? You are one xenophobic and hateful bastard.
  18. Definitely had its moments, especially from Dom Irrera and Jeff Ross, but for the most part, this was a weaker roast. They need to get away from inviting celebrities, and just bring back comedians who are, you know, funny.
  19. These Walking Dead spinoffs keep looking worse.
  20. Good. This thread was almost as bad as the realignment thread. Almost.
  21. FIL wanted me to try it, but SIL found out and got the rest of wife's family to get FIL to withdraw request. That said, I've decided to get my own WSM shortly and will return here with pics of my first attempt.
  22. Correct. Wife actually got sick the night before, so she didn't even go to her family's thing. But she was pissed at her family for first asking us to do all the leg work on the brisket, and then asking us to cancel at the last-minute. Sorry for a brisket blue balls thread.
  23. Have only seen the “steak debate” scene, but that it was great. What’s this show about exactly?
  24. I'm back. So on Friday evening, while making a plan for when to begin the smoking process, I got a call from by father-in-law (the destroyer of brisket) and sister-in-law (vegetarian). SIL was concerned that my way of smoking might delay the entire meal, so it was asked that I not smoke anything after all. Fuck it, I wasn't thrilled at the idea of putting in a day's effort for people who wouldn't appreciate the meal anyway, not to mention also paying for the meat. As a postscript, however, I arrived at FIL's on Sunday, not to his so-called brisket, but to BBQ chicken. Apparently FIL did such a shitty job this time, he decided to spare us all his burnt shoe leather, and the poultry was substituted instead. I'll try my virgin smoking attempt sometime later on. That said, I did at least cook myself a damn good reverse-sear ribeye paired with Jameson for my dinner.
