  1. Todd Snider belongs somewhere on the list too, IMO.
  2. I remember taking a dump on a Colorado ski trip one time back in the 80s and there on the bathroom stall was the following poem: "Here I sit, my buns a flexin', giving birth to another Texan." My 14 year old self thought that was pretty damn hilarious (and a little insulting).
  3. Now, probably. But back in the 80s you weren't cool unless you skied in jeans. At least that's the way my old ass remembers it.
  4. First three that come to mind, other than Dylan... Townes Van Zandt Guy Clark Paul Simon
  5. First Man. I had really high hopes so it left me a little bit disappointed. After watching, I went back and read Ramjet's and others' comments in the thread about the movie and agree with much of what was said. A little weak on storytelling and not enough background on Armstrong, and I thought Gosling's portrayal was just too wooden. And while I realize the subject matter was mostly serious, it could have benefitted from a little levity/humor here and there. But it did a lot of things right. The scenes of the various missions -- and especially the moonwalk -- were extraordinary. Really well done. Wish I'd seen it in the theater for that reason. I guess I liked it ok overall but feel it could have been so much better. As moves about that era go, it doesn't compare to The Right Stuff or Apollo 13 for me.
  6. Looks like you'll get your wish. As will I since I haven't seen it yet either. Peter Jackson’s “They Shall Not Grow Old” Marches on, to 150 Markets across North America
  7. I watched the Netflix doc first then the Hulu doc. Both were good but I thought Netflix was better overall and went into more detail on how it all unfolded. Hulu went more in-depth on millennials and social media culture, influencers, etc. If you're only going to watch one, I recommend the Netflix doc.
  8. I went with the Dillon in pecan. I posted a picture of them on this thread, probably over a year ago.
  9. Virtually no time at all. Others may have had a different experience, but mine fit perfect right out of the box. The caiman took much longer to break in but that's understandable since it's a much tougher leather.
  10. The ostrich are more breathable and cooler than the caiman, and of course much softer.
  11. Dammit. I wish him the best of luck but I think he'd be better off coming back another year. Hook'em forever, LJ!!
  12. I have a pair of the Tecovas ostrich and love them. Super comfortable. I also have a pair of their caiman. Beautiful boots.
