  1. Kinda interesting...seems plausible. Is Walter White Still Alive in the “Gene Timeline”?
  2. So he's got that going for him...which is nice.
  3. Costner was good in No Way Out, The Untouchables, Bull Durham, Tin Cup, and most of all, Fandango.
  4. Agree 100%...Sidenote: Three of those five were directed by David Lean, consecutively (Bridge, Lawrence and Zhivago). Bridge Over the River Kwai and Lawrence of Arabia both won Oscars for Best Picture and Best Director and Dr. Zhivago was nominated in both categories. All three films won Golden Globes for Best Picture and Best Director. Talk about a cinematic hat trick.
  5. And I'd Cinderella Man. He was perfect in that role.
  6. A few I'm surprised didn't make the cut: Midnight Cowboy, West Side Story, North by Northwest, Stalag 17.
  7. It hasn't been mentioned, but he was also really, really good in Spy Game (2001) with Brad Pitt. Very underrated movie, IMO.
  8. Hell yeah, Boys! Nice throw Dak!
  9. The Happening was one of the most laughably bad movies I've ever seen (at least when talking about movies with a big name director and star).
  10. Some of these posts are mind bottling. I think I've seen most "big" or "classic" movies going back to the 1960s, and quite a few before that. Part of that I can thank my parents for, as they're sort of movie buffs. My Dad's DVD collection is impressive, to say the least. I've never seen any Harry Potter, any Fast & Furious, and only the first LOTR. Couldn't give a shit about any of the recent "big" superhero movies. The only other one I can think of is Grease, which came out when I was a little kid. My older sisters were crazy about it, so it was always on around the house, but I had no interest in it. I've seen enough scenes to feel like I've seen it, and I know the music. But I've never sat down and watched it from beginning to end.
  11. The dog's....which, come to think of it, may explain the howling.
  12. Show this to your wife. I bet she changes her mind. Also, would (the girl, not the dog)
  13. Yeah I think some dogs enjoy howling along to music of all kinds, not just blues harp. Hell, when I was a kid my grandma's miniature schnauzer would howl along to her singing and playing the organ.
  14. I think some of y'all may be naming the #1 song on the day you were born instead of the #1 song on your 14th birthday, as stated in my post. Not that it really matters, of course. It's just some stupid shit I saw on Facebook. But I think the point was popular music has a real impact on you when you're around that age...or something.
  15. Nevertheless, #hepersisted
  16. And I imagine that goes X100 when it's in front of a TV crew following you around.
  17. I thought Moonrise and The Grand Budapest Hotel were both great.
  18. I'm just going over our annual report...boy did we take it on the chin last year.
  19. In before classics....oh, wait.
  20. As far as I can tell your entire enterprise is more than a solitary man with a messy apartment which may or may not contain a chicken.
  21. Taco Deli "banned" straws about a month or so ago, displaying a sign by the fountain drink station explaining their decision under the header "The Last Straw." But they half-assed their "ban". They'll still give you one on request. The one I frequent the most (N Lamar) even keeps a big tin full of straws right next to the cash register. I never even bother asking. I just reach over and grab one on my way out while staring at the guy behind the register.
