  1. Maybe, but there's still likely plenty of stuff to come out, including whatever else McMurphy has, which is probably a lot.
  2. he said any bruises she had were the result of defensive moves he made while trying get out of the situation (paraphrasing)
  3. Zach Smith interview about to start on SportsCenter
  4. If he reported the 2015 incident (which I highly doubt), and if that triggered a Title IX investigation (no idea if it would), wouldn't there be more than some just emails that are easily deleted or "lost"? Wouldn't there actually be required forms, documentation, paperwork, etc. with the Title IX office? Seems like that's the only kind of proof that would back him up.
  5. Ate there on a weekly basis in college. Damn I miss it. The day the placed closed, one of the local TV stations did a news story about it. They had a reporter on the scene as crews were carrying away tables and chairs in the background. As I'm watching, my fraternity's president enters the picture, looks around, pulls a big beer sign off the wall and walks away with it. /csb
  6. I'm not one for moral victories, but I made it all the way to August. And that's something.
  7. This is correct. He might have skated in the past. Not now.
  8. The guy is a POS and a psycho who should serve jail time for terroristic threats. I don't get why she would continue to engage him as long as she did, though. Just doesn't seem very smart or safe. Once he started with the vile threats, better to ignore/block him and go straight to the cops (which I guess she eventually did -- sucks they didn't respond).
  9. I got a text from the Beto campaign last week addressing me as Nathalie. That's only weird because I've had the same mobile number for probably 15 years or so.
  10. The fact that the city's name was even included on a list of names "that require more analysis" is more than reason enough to call out city officials for their dumbassery. Just because it's unlikely to happen doesn't mean they shouldn't be criticized for wasting time and money on silly shit like this, as if there aren't actual problems to address.
  11. Brilliant. Also I just realized you were referring to the La Madeleine chain. Woosh!!
  12. Only problem with that is that an overpriced French eatery called La Madalyn sounds exactly like the kind of place hipsters would flock to.
  13. Watched Beirut last night. Set during the 1982 Lebanese civil war. Jon Hamm plays an alcoholic former U.S. diplomat. Didn't really know anything about it going in but I thoroughly enjoyed it. Recommended if you like espionage thrillers. And I thought Hamm was excellent in it. Probably his best film role I've seen.
