Al Biernat's is still the best I've had in Dallas. Agree with Capital Grille being a close 2nd. It's a shame what Bob's has become over the years. Used to be so damn good.

Maple and Motor is still my favorite, but Kenny's Burger House in Plano/Frisco is solid.

Dumb Question Amnesty
Anyone ever bought a bottle on the secondary market? Bottle Spot?
I just can’t bring myself to do it yet. Hunting bottles at retail is a lot of fun for me.
Only ones I think I’d be willing to do secondary on are WLW or ER17. And right now I like money too much to pull the trigger on those. -

It’s not the worlds best, but the wife and I ate at Gordon Ramsay Steak at Paris last time we were in Vegas and the Beef Wellington was fucking incredible along with the lobster risotto.

Yea! How?

It’s not an OF, but I figured this had kind of morphed into the bourbon cocktail thread.
Manhattan made with Col. Taylor Straight Rye, Antica Torino vermouth and a luxardo cherry.
Cheers you surly ass fucks!- 4

This was badass of them to do as a payback for Sammy having to cancel their gig at a Texxas Jam.
Senior year in HS. It was insane in the West End. Don't think DPD ever allowed anything that big down there again except the Super Bowl Parade in 93.

I think I've asked this before and got an answer but it's escaping me now. Does anyone remember an indoor water slide place. I think it was in Oak Cliff but I'm not sure.
I'll of course pour one out for the GOAT. A 70mm THX screening was always a revelation.
God that was such a great place to see a movie. So many memories.
There was an indoor water slide at NorthTown Mall at Webb Chapel and 635 for a bit in the 80's.

Mega bonus points for Evil Roy Slade. John Astin is pure genius in that movie.
The professionals was also greatness.
But what about Big Jim Slade?

My wife has the entire movie memorized. We were in Munich for Oktoberfest and had a couple channels at the hotel. One was showing The Rock, dubbed in German. She translated it for a good 20 minutes with decent accents. Was fantastic.
That's awesome. On our honeymoon in Munich we caught Independence Day at the hotel in German. That was funny!

I know many will disagree and consider it blasphemy, but they were a much better band with Sammy. As good as the old DLR VH is, 5150 is their best album IMO.

Awesome man. I'm jealous you're putting one down right now.
Liked it so much I just put a bottle of Pikesville Rye and 375 ml of Antica Torino with about 10 dashes of bitters in my 2 ltr oak barrel and gonna let it sit for a month . Had one at restaurant tonight that was barrel aged and it was great.

Wonder what’s up with Corby.
He tweeted a pic of an empty plane on Saturday. Family vacation maybe...or a lame festival

Wife and I enjoyed it last night and will continue to watch. What I can't believe is how some of our very liberal friends are all up in arms over it. Jesus Christ, it's a fucking sitcom. Get over yourself.

Whoa whoa, let's pump the breaks here.
Try a Manhattan with a rye with a strong bite. I like Michters or Rittenhouse. Then use Antica Torino for the vermouth. This stuff is delicious. A splash of bitters and then I soften everything by taking a lemon peel and twisting it so the oils spritz the cocktail. It's incredible.
Holy shit, can't believe I've never tried this stuff before. Having a manhattan with Pikesville Rye and the Antica Torino right now. Delicious!!

It was less than I was expecting...$87, which I believe is MSRP. With surprises like yesterday, I may be swinging by 2-3x a week after work.

Finally got my Sinn back from RGM. It had stopped running but luckily it happened under warranty and they didn’t need to ship it to Germany. But they still had it for 2 months.
Still love this thing as much as I did the day I got it.- 2
