My favorite thing about all the anti-DEI folks voting for Trump is that they're the clearest examples possible of why DEI programs are needed, because they're demonstrating concrete proof of how powerful white privilege still is in America. Donald Trump very clearly doesn't have a fully functioning human brain. I'm not even talking about the clear dementia he's sinking deeper into, I'm talking about the fact that he's always been dumber than most dogs. He lacks object permanence and seriously thinks that reality exists only of what is immediately around him at any time and what he sees on TV. He thought Vince McMahon died in a fucking car explosion that was staged for WWF. If you tried playing hide and seek with him and covered his eyes, he'd assume you had disappeared from existence.
He's never been a real businessman. He inherited a business and had enough people around him who knew how to operate it just well enough to keep it afloat some of the time. Meanwhile he LARPed his idea of a tough businessman he got from TV, like how Moo Deng pretends to be chewing because she's mimicking her mom eating. He has no idea what abortion is, he just knows people around him hated Roe and used the phrase "pro-life" which he subconsciously understood to be something positive, so he'd say shit like this:
That's not someone with an actual functioning human brain. That's a dog's brain that learned how to say roughly half a dozen superlative adjectives.
Yet a majority of white men in this country think he's more qualified than Kamala Harris and want to give him the nuclear codes without even putting the padded walls of real adults around him this time. You couldn't possibly invent a better example of white privilege.
