  1. Because there are young men in gaza it's fine for Israel to starve a million people to death? What the fuck?
  2. It's still been going. Paramount just gave them an enormous new contract. It just lost all cultural relevance the past few years, particularly beginning with covid. It became a huge fucking bummer then and I think most people quit watching.
  3. Also this. My guess as to what's in the Epstein files is a lot of shit implicating some people who are dead or are so old they might as well be dead in crimes, and embarrassing many more who were friends with Epstein and very likely knew he was a pedo but didn't care, and both of those groups of people were/are wealthy and connected people so I'm sure there's plenty of people on both sides of the political aisle who would prefer they not be released because their associations with them would be embarrassing. There's probably also a lot of evidence of overseas financial transactions with Epstein's foreign collaborators that the DOJ didn't really care enough to chase down once Epstein killed himself, especially after they had to pivot to focus on prosecuting 1/6 assholes. Garland and most of Biden's administration thought Trump would slink away quietly after he lost (this is well documented and I'm not going to re-litigate this if anyone has the urge to argue), their norms and rules didn't permit releasing the Epstein files, and they would've been concerned about the impact releasing the files could've had on their own friends and associates. I could even believe that they were never even consciously thinking about potential impact on friends and associates, and just were being "good" little rules followers, because that's who Merrick Garland is and that's who most mainstream Democratic public officials are, especially those who are lawyers. I don't believe that, I expect there were at least some people high up on Biden's DOJ who were worried about that, but that wasn't even necessary for Biden's DOJ not to release the files.
  4. Did they change the definition of the word “immediately” and I missed the memo? They spent months begging him to please be a good boy and give them back.
  5. Because Donald Trump is President, Pam Bondi runs the DOJ, and everyone who would tell her no that's against the rules has resigned.
  6. It’s typically against DOJ policy to release investigative materials that aren’t used to prosecute someone, except in very limited circumstances (e.g an overriding public interest).
  7. When do we end up with 20 guys on the IL?
  8. I’m taking bets on whether complaints about hearsay in warrant applications are raised. DM me if you want to bet.
  9. Anyone trying to earnestly engage with Ana at this point needs to seek therapy.
  10. This ump is so fucking trash.
  11. Maybe a little frowny face emoji?
  12. Oh cool, an actually new weirdo. We so rarely get those. PSA, the secret to never losing your mind over a divorce is to never get married.
  13. He's not tjhooker, is he? It's hard to keep track of all the real freaks.
  14. Was that the question? I thought you were asking why changing the name Commanders back to Redskins would be a problem.
  15. This is obviously Icono.
  16. Nearly without fail, every time a conservative chud comes into CR to pick a fight, they say something along the lines of "you don't know anything about me!" They're just so goddamned boring.
  17. There's more on the Mamdani transcript story. This 'violently racist' hacker claims to be the source of The New York Times' Mamdani scoop. Piece is too long to quote in full, but I found this notable: It's pretty clear that editors at the times knew the that both the hacker and his intermediary were nazis, yet assigned a politics story about a politician they don't like to a freelance health reporter, and even let him violate their own guidelines on the use of anonymous sources.
  18. You think the president should be able to order a company to change its name?
  19. I for one would love to see them try to prosecute Obama. He'll be fine and at the end of the day the lesson will be "don't pussyfoot with traitors because of norms next time."
  20. Don’t worry y’all, the Times has decided this story is over and there’s nothing more to see here:
  21. It’s rude to kink shame.
  22. It's not really a reach to think that someone on the campaign could've realized what a great photo opportunity it was.
  23. Grok must be in on the coverup!
  24. It was probably suggested by his secretary.
