  1. Under no circumstances should anyone recommend the fucking All In podcast to anyone else.
  2. Mr. Rojo, sir, I am the Wallet Inspector. You must hand over your wallet to me for inspection.
  3. So John Roberts flipping his vote on the constitutionality of the mandate AND on the constitutionality of the Medicaid expansion (the latter of those being a literally absurd decision) because of obviously political concerns was in your view just him honestly ruling on what he thought the law commanded and not outcome-driven?
  4. Literally quoting John Roberts to defend John Roberts is fucking hilarious.
  5. You should read this: https://www.cnn.com/2019/03/21/politics/john-roberts-obamacare-the-chief/index.html
  6. It should be easy for you to cite the language from Section 3 of the 14th Amendment that left it to Congress to enforce, then.
  7. Nobody who is even passingly familiar with John Roberts would think he does this.
  8. I am so fucking sick of people who are allegedly not nazis gargling John Roberts' balls, I swear to christ. Ojo Rojo might be a more annoying poster these days than Icono.
  9. Except for that whole ruled that he might be disqualified but he was special and must still be on ballots and then later made him an unaccountable king thing.
  10. I wonder how spanky’s portfolio is looking now.
  11. A whole lot of the philanthropic activity billionaires do is illusory shit that's more tax dodge than charity. And there's serious issues with the real philanthropy some of them do:
  12. I know twelve billionaires and they're all pedophiles who eat babies.
  13. Jamelle Bouie had a good thread on this yesterday in response to some lawyers with terminal lawyer-brain:
  14. You didn't rattle off two billionaires, you talked about two fictional characters.
  15. That's all of them.
  16. Yes, that was my sarcasm (which probably made more sense in the context of that thread).
  17. A very simple illustration of what it sounds like she missed (or, more likely, intentionally ignored): There's a lot of people who are handsomely rewarded for coming up with bullshit to justify Republican economic policies that are intended to protect the status quo and further enrich the wealthy. Entire think tanks like, for example, the Manhattan Institute, exist to do nothing else. Let's see where Jessica Riedl works... oh shit, would you look at that, she's a senior fellow at the Manhattan Institute!
  18. If you want to actually learn about things, Freakonomics isn't really the best place to go.
  19. Sidis makes several thoughtful posts full of really substantive analysis about issues with college admissions Ana: "oh you're just being antisemitic!"
  20. If literally any of the conspiracy theories about the CIA were true they’d have killed him long ago. So I guess that’s evidence that actually DOGEing the CIA is probably one of the least damaging things they’ll do.
  21. You can always just send your kids to aggy if you're worried UT is too liberal.
  22. I'm curious what they will mobilize to do and what effect they think it would have.
  23. But but but but that's only because Dems did identity politics first! It's not like white supremacist patriarchy has been the cornerstone of conservative politics for the entirety of American history.
