  1. Says all you need to say without saying a word. Doggos are the best.
  2. Went to see two Oscar nominated shows in the last two weeks: The Whale-Brendan Gleeson is likely to win Best Actor, but JEBUS, this was a hard watch. The special effects used to make him look 600 lbs will probably take an Oscar too. The Banshees of Inisherin-Collin Farrell & Brendan Gleeson are great, but supporting actor nominee Barry Keoghan was OUTSTANDING and should win a statue imho.
  3. I agree, but the chocolate pie with warm filling is simply too hard to resist. God I hope this FW gem never goes away like so many have.

    Texas BBQ

Top three imho: 1. Goldee's-definitely deserved the #1 ranking in Tx Monthly, but prepare to stand in LONG lines if you arrive after 8am. Brisket beyond compare. 2. Panthercity Barbecue-now has a building and outstanding in brisket, ribs, sausage. 3. Hurtado-recently opened on 8th avenue in FW, but have only been to Arlington location on Division. Honorable mention: Heim on White Settlement-better service, parking, and overall quality of product than their Magnolia location.
  5. Also one on East Berry which became a barbecue sammich place years ago.
  6. Welcome. There is a solution to your drinking problem and a number of us that will help you going forward. Glad you are here and look forward to seeing what happens in your life in 2023.
  7. WHY? It's only been 83 years!!😜
  8. they've definitely got a <1 minute offense, especially when Meatchicken blitzes.
  9. Looking a lot like Arena League game.
  10. So Jabba the Hut got a comp ticket?
  11. Michigan, we hardly knew ye! Enjoy the Arizona winter.
  12. You mispelled porn.
  13. Looks like they didn't blink.
  14. We think NOT!
  15. Worth repeating!
  16. Love those Meatchicken fans expressions!
  17. Learned a valuable yet painfully expensive lesson just a moment ago. Ate breakfast at Dixie House on Hulen and the wife reminded that we needed to get a pie for the New Year meal we are serving with friends tomorrow. The chocolate pie in the case looked promising, so had that added to breakfast bill. The total was $92.07, which seemed a little steep, so I asked for a receipt. Turns out, the pie was $39.00 . The prices for a whole pie are not posted and for good reason. Moral of the story, COSTCO is your friend and doesn't have desserts for *$&%^#^#%@%%$^ dollars!
  18. Always a favorite at the Forest Park location. Enchiladas Ole for dinner after lunch here.
  19. Thanks for the rec. Will check it out next time when over in Dallas.
  20. Going to watch on Sunday.
  21. There are a shit ton of angry TCU fans who are now scrambling to get a flight to Phoenix for the CFP after their flights were cancelled. Houston, Austin, and any other city is what friends have reported but rental cars are likely all gone as well. Herb Kelleher must be turning over in his grave watching his once proud little airline circling the drain like this. While I've never had an issue with them, this sudden tsunami of cancellations, delays, overworked customer service reps, pilots, flight attendants may well force them out of the market.
  22. Winner of the PantherCityHorn post of the day.
  23. Only once when friends took us there and bought the meal. Haven't seen a reason to return based on that visit.
  24. I bought a package of the choice NY strips this week and grilled one last night. After choosing ribeyes for years, I found this steak to be my new favorite and will be buying them going forward. Love the fact that the FW COSTCO opens their doors 15-30 minutes early during holidays which makes parking, getting what I need, and being home in less than an hour a bonus.
