    Texas BBQ

This makes me smile and drool at the same time. Haven't heard where his location will be but am looking forward to sampling his work when he opens. Might make a run to Whitney before he closes on 2/3 as I have heard the same as you regarding his product.
  2. Just impose the replay with this song and the answer becomes clear. Still smh on the blatant failure to make that interference call.
  3. If Beale Street Could Talk-highly rated on rotten tomatoes, highly meh and OVER RATED imho.
  4. Going to hell on the express train-I am still laughing at this one.
  5. Hitler youth and gulag guards. Fake army on display.
  6. Well you just made me want to head down 377 and order up. That combo has got to be a winner. CSB-first time I went here, I had left my wallet in FW, but had checks in my car. So, no ID, no credit cards, no cash, just a check. The owner said no problem, got my meal, and I became a loyal customer and walking advertisement for his place since that day.
  7. Wish him the best wherever he decides to transfer. Selfishly, I would like him to come to Dallas and play for the Ponies. Having attended two great schools for his education will help him have a great career after football is over, but it would be great if he got to start the next two years at SMU. Good kid, good team mate, and good family makes him a good choice.
  8. No chance that our right tackle is related to the owner of Cosmi's deli is there? That place was greatness this summer although I agree with you that Woodrow's was the choice for portions size.
  9. Grump's in Granbury cranks out a good burger.
  10. Agree. This win and the 2011 Rose Bowl victory over Wisconsin when TCU was in the MWC are a testament to Patterson's teams being bowl ready when they take the field.
  11. Now located in Royce City-stopped there yesterday on the way back from Sulphur Springs. Ribs and sausage were solid-brisket looked better than it tasted, lacking the seasoning on the smoke ring and not rendered properly imho. Still would stop again as the owner does not stab you for reviews that are critical.
  12. Just got back from Sundance Square ringing in the new year. Nice band playing big band music and energetic crowd. Finished my first Topo with Lime for the new year and am going to bed and wake up with the same sobriety date I went to bed with-the #1 resolution I commit to every year for the past twenty. Will be at the 7am to start the day off right and focus on what I can do to help the alcoholic who still suffers in the days ahead. Thanks for being here for me-without help, it is too much for us.
  13. Thanks to all who have contributed to this thread. I always order a free credit report at the end of every year to see what if any suspicious activity has appeared. Now having read the stories of those who have been victimized, I just froze my information with all three agencies as a precaution. I didn't realize it was free, could be done online, and while not 100% guaranteed, still makes me more secure than I was before. I have had my debit card compromised three or four times and had to get Frost to take care of it-which they did without any issues, but have avoided any fraudulent activity to this point on credit cards. My personal feeling is that lifetime banishment to the lowest level of Dante's inferno would be too good for those who practice this form of thievery.
  14. 4/28/98, but thanks for the kind thoughts.
  15. Herman and Del Conte have this program moving in the direction it should be. After all of the changes in personnel, it seems the two most important hires have been made and the results bear that out. Recruiting, stadium upgrades, and overall stability in the program has me looking forward to the next season with great anticipation.
  16. We had tix in 2009 on that 50 yard line level right beneath Herbstreit and Musburger. It was the biggest let down in terms of expectations atmosphere wise I have ever experienced. Felt like watching a tennis match in a box at Wimbledon/like watching paint dry or water boil. Just meh X 10.
  17. Upward trend with a win over OU that was epic, several close wins that were losses the year before, and significant contributions by true freshmen on both sides of the ball. I am sure as hell enjoying Longhorn football a lot more than in years past. Like what Herman is doing with out of state recruiting, JUCO signees, and overall team discipline. Glad Sam progressed so much this year and looking forward to 2019.
  18. Followed Stephenville to four titles in the 90's when Briles still had a decent reputation. Loved the Texas Stadium games with Highland Park. Jerryworld is a mausoleum where the venue is the attraction not the event being held there. Jones has a license to print money however so don't expect any of the minions who sell out this dump to stop coming.
  19. Welcome to sobriety CDeMar. Glad you found an answer and look forward to hearing your story here.
  20. In 2009, we parked in a church parking lot and paid $20 to ride in their van to and from the game. Fuck Jerry and his mausoleum stadium and cash cow parking lot.

    LSU @ aggy

Definitely suffers from Uncle Rico disease, imho. And I should know, I stayed at a Holiday Inn Express last night.

    OSU @ TCU

Got to go to this game and sit in the club level. The game itself was not much but the experience in that level of Amon Carter stadium made me glad we went. The food offerings by John Bonnell and others were amazing. The talent factor was somewhere betwen 7-8 with an occasional 10. The sight lines and view of the game make this place fun to attend games, but the same loudspeaker ads and noise from the scoreboard as is found in Austin is a BEATING.
