  1. FIFY-a home and home with the Pirate would be my choice. But Puget Sound is hard to beat, especially when you are talking about Pullman.
  2. That might well have been a Noze experience from Baylor.
  3. They were known as the Bugeaters back in 1892. That's all I got
  4. Brother in law played in the MOB in the mid 70's while 4.0 in biochemistry. Got to see some great halftime shows and meet some of the creators of the production. Still say that they got to ATM more than the SMU cheerleader who had the sword drawn on him. Beautiful campus, hosted a Super Bowl, still a place I enjoy visiting when in H town.
  5. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mgjAIzIB-1M My favorite from Sly.
  6. Authentic frontier jibberish!
  7. No sheeeit!! Our office is like a frigg.in' petrie dish of diseases this past two weeks. I dodged the bullet until today-headed for a benadryl cocktail and nose spray
  8. You're on my good (God) list phd-and your mama and daddy left a great legacy. May the best times and memories shared with your blessed mother comfort you and give you peace in this time of loss.
  9. Birthday night at Harbor tonight. Service work ( I chair) and milestone (20 year chip)-not a bad way to spend an evening.
  10. No Dart Bowl? Belongs in places to eat and things to do.
  11. Watched the first season and am looking forward to the second.
  12. For the past 7304 days, I have not found it necessary to take a drink. Twenty years have flown by since the last bender, and I could not be more grateful for the program of Alcoholics Anonymous, the God of my understanding I found there, and the men and women both in and out of the rooms who showed me a design for living that has made living life on life's terms a worthwhile goal every day. Glad I found what turned out to be what I never could find in the bottle, and for the lives of the men I get to work with while trudging the road to happy destiny. Thanks also to you guys-this thread would have been the one I missed the most if the site had not been reborn.
  13. Well said. My sponsor said you be happy, we'll be proud, advice that has served me well.
  14. Heard on the Ticket that one of the officers died. Prayers for his family as well as those who survived.
  15. Dip cones for sure and ditto on wtff. That said, there is one over by Will Rogers and one two blocks from my home that I still frequent. In the 80's, when my folks lived in Nocona, the enchiladas they served up were Dart bowl quality.
  16. I would do three days in Florence and two in Venice. Florence is my favorite city in Italy followed by the Lake Como region of Bellaggio.
  17. Two hand painted silk scarves and two pieces of raku pottery made this another happy Main Street for the missus. Not a bad way to spend three hours walking from the courthouse to the convention center and back on a beautiful Sunday afternoon. Next up, Colonial and Mayfest. Tarrant County has good springtime events.
  18. Reggie White died as a result of obstructive sleep apnea at age 43. I was diagnosed fifteen years ago and have used a cpap machine nightly since. It is worth the money spent on both the sleep study and the cpap machine or whatever is prescribed for you and you will notice a difference in how you feel every morning.
  19. Main Street is definitely not for the poors-but the event, people watching, and atmosphere is one of the best times to be had in Cowtown. Seems like every year there is one or two days of Armageddon weather followed by sunshine and today promises to be like that. Have some friends who have a booth outside of Riscky's every year and enjoy seeing their works. Sunday afternoon when the event is winding down sometimes finds the artists willing to negotiate price fwiw.
  20. As it says in our literature, we won't be rendered white as snow-and THANK GOD. My first meeting they all shared what it was like-which let me know I was exactly where I needed to be, what happened-hey, if they could do it, maybe I could, and what it is like now-which I could not imagine but have seen happen in my life since 1998. The physical craving and mental obsession to drink has been lifted, it is now that all the other defects that keep me coming back, where I am reminded what humility really is when we tell on ourselves and then get to change the things we can. Trudge on my friends.

    Caddyshack

    Enjoyed this read.
  22. Back in the day, Clockwork Orange was my go to. But Pee Wee's Playhouse was also in the rotation.
