  1. Fat Albert came into the movie five minutes after it started, reclined his seat, and was asleep snoring ten minutes later. Fortunately being the first show of the day, there were plenty of seats available which we took advantage of. Damn good flick.
  2. Does anybody know what the building at the corner of Bryant Irvin and Camp Bowie across from the Exxon station is? The sign says Majestic like the chain of liquor stores that is no longer-or are they coming back under new ownership?
  3. Earl, Tim, and Steve-God bless Ann Campbell and her contribution to Texas football history. Earl brought the pain to the opposition every play and made others around him a threat because of how much respect the play action fake commanded. What a great transition to go from Rosie Leaks to Earl Campbell-except for those who were unfortunately tasked with stopping either of them.
  4. If not for George's, I would subscribe to nuking Waco and Rape U to hell.
  5. Saw this tonight and the former Mad Men star was excellent as a burned out alcoholic former diplomat thrust into a negotiation he didn't really want. Much like Don Draper, Mason Skiles has a taste for alcohol and is cool under fire. Somewhat predictable plot wise, this was still one I would recommend seeing. Boardwalk Empire star Shea Whigham and Breaking Bad player Dean Norris do a good job of playing CIA operatives giving this spy thriller good chemistry.
  6. Checking in. Had to change my user name cause I forgot my password as panthercityhorn. Still trudging the road to happy destiny.
  7. Visiting the Viet Nam memorial and finding the names of my friends, as well as those other 50K+ who gave all. Now at 65, I cry excessively when wondering what their lives would have been like and am grateful for the life I still enjoy.
  8. Kern Tipps and Connie Alexander after him made the Humble broadcasting network a great way to experience a ballgame if you were not there. Listened to many a Texas game during hunting season and loved the SWC back in the 60's.
