    Texas BBQ

This was on the last bbq run my best man and I made last month but we didn't get there. Definitely is going to be on the top of the list on the next trip down.
  3. Drive to Fort Worth and go to Enchiladas Ole.
  4. That's generous, but probably correct. With all of the great barbecue options in the FW area, this has all the makings of a limited target market that won't support the lease on that location imho.
  5. Ethan Burke is the closest thing Texas has had to Brian Robison since he played for the burnt orange. Hopefully Burke will continue to wreak havoc and be mentioned along with BR as one of the finest edge rushers in Longhorn history.
  6. 1964 Cotton Bowl/Texas vs Navy-Roger Staubach, DKR-We're Ready! 1969 Texas vs Arkansas-Street to Peschel on 4th down to set up the game winner 1970 Cotton Bowl-Texas vs Notre Dame 2006Rose Bowl-Texas vs USC-"VINCE YOUNG SCORES!! Keith Jackson 2023 Texas vs Alabama-perhaps a game where the whole season was defined
  7. This picture brings back so many happy memories from childhood. Bill Williams was always a great place where my family would stop when in Houston and the oyster bar has never been equaled imho.
  8. I will mourn the loss of this outstanding hole in the wall that has been serving heaven for decades. Colonel Sanders has nothing on the fried chicken put out by this establishment and I hope to be present and eating when the last day of service occurs.
  9. Sonny had him second string last year until Morris got hurt-talk about catching lightning in a bottle. The loss of experience and leadership from the team that got to the MNC game really showed up, but the most impressive thing about yesterday is the fact that Colorado put a team on the field that still hasn't learned each other's names yet and ripped the Frogs a new one in front of the largest crowd in Amon Carter stadium history.
  10. It was worth the drive from Nocona to enjoy such excellent enchiladas.
  11. Holy Mother of God-if heaven doesn't have these on the menu, I'll have to consider other eternal options.
  12. Sadie gets tenderloin for the next few weeks. Gotta go wipe the dust out of my eyes now. Good doggo Sadie-AUS-97HORN good dog owner.
  13. Have enjoyed meals at every location but always look forward to Parker County Peach Custard at Curly's in July.
  14. Was indeed-it became a church after it closed as a theatre.
  15. From your mouth to God's ear.
  16. Some things just make my day-this being one of them!!!

There is a special place in the bottom of the outhouse in hell for this scumbag m'fer. That way he can eat sh!t eternally and never die for this theft.
  18. Aventino's is solid. Haven't been there recently, but never have had a meal that didn't impress. Dixie House adds 4% when you use your credit card/debit card. Their prices have increased since Covid and now the Westside Cafe on 80 West is my go to. I miss the days when Peter Schroeder owned the Old Neighborhood Grill and Mike (RIP) owned Paris Coffee shop, the two best breakfast places in FW and prices that were fair compared to all others.
  19. Obligatory "What comes out of a Chinaman's ass?"
  20. The last scene when the credits roll is golden. Go see what I mean, no spoiler here.
  21. Had Panther City ribs on Tuesday and the Texas trio at Hurtado's in Arlington on Wednesday. God it has been a glorious week.
  22. Internets award winner of the month.
  23. That is what they call a dead heat in horse racing-both are excellent and almost too close to call a winner.

Good old days syndrome is setting in-but at 70, that's more the norm than the exception.
  25. Agree-saw a lot of Moonrise Kingdom style in this new one, which was entertaining.
