  1. Just wanted to say thanks for the recs on this thread. Wife and I had a great time and appreciated all the advice. In Detroit, we stayed at The Roost hotel in the Book Tower where Kampher Rooftop and Le Sepreme are. Really recommend it for future Detroit trips. In Detroit we ate at Apparattus Room (ok), Selden Standard (super), Freya (super) and Loui’s Pizza (meh) along with the in-house options which were all great. In AA, we did the frat row walk to the stadium to just admire the debauchery and then hit campus and checked out the Law Library on the walk back from the game. More of the stuff up north near Kerry Town was packed by the time we got there but we got into Last Word for a few cocktails and food before heading back. Outstanding drinks and cool spot at Last Word so really appreciated that rec Had such a good time, we are considering doing Nashville too for Vandy game.
  2. Frisco is just a good centrally located home base to get to Breck or Dillon/Keystone. There's nothing within Frisco itself except grocery stores, businesses and some condos. We have a 3 year old that we lug up there twice a year and I'd specifically recommend: - Food: Arapahoe Cafe in Dillon. You could sit inside or outside with the kiddos. Breck has plenty of decent spots too - There's a kid's park close to the brand new Dillon Amphitheater within walking distance of Arapahoe Cafe. Good place for them to burn off energy and for you parents to get a great view of the lake and mountains. - Friday afternoons has free gondola rides up to Keystone (Breck might have this too) and there is live music and food/beer/games up there. It's good for young'ns and parents. You just walk in to where lift tickets are sold and they give you a lift ticket for free. My daughter would prefer to just go up and down the gondola for hours but it's fun up top too. - the Fun Parks like Breck's Peak 8 might be tough/too early for the 2 year old but the 4.5 year old could enjoy it. There's height restrictions on everything. - Sapphire Point to feed the chipmunks is a kid favorite and beautiful views. It's on the road between Breck and Keystone. Great thing to do in the morning or early evening depending on when the 2.year old has to be back for bedtime. There's an easy loop hike right there too. That's the only hiking we do with the kid, just too much of a pain. Enjoy getting out of the heat.
  3. I recommend Leon’s Poultry and Oyster a little north of downtown for good beer and fried chicken or oysters. You are right to not get a car, very walkable city or short uber rides anywhere you want to go.
