  1. Super fat female in her huvaround at the Comfort Inn Continental breakfast this morning. I wanted to see what she was going to eat. Did not disappoint. She stuffed a saddle bag with cream cheese, butter and jelly. #genetics
  2. I'm saying this as the Tech fan that I am. 1. About every other time we play in Austin, UT plays their best game of the year and they absolutely destroy us. You won the last game in Austin 70-35 maybe this is your off year. 2. As for officiating, for 25 years we've seen Big12 officials protect the Big12's best interests. So I ask this in all seriousness, "Is it better for the conference to have a playoff team or is it better to send UT off with a loss?" It is my opinion that money is King and every member of the BIG12 makes an extra million if UT makes the playoffs. Therefore I don't expect UT to get screwed by the refs. 3. Tech's linebacker Bryce Ramirez is playing pretty well which is amazing considering that he had a Theismannesque compound leg fracture in last falls game versus NC State. He may not be the best defensive player, but the whole defense plays better with him the game.
  3. This defense sucks...in an errant throw for a touchback.
  4. I think the legal fight for the PAC12 cash reserves is going to be magnificent. OSU & WSU think the $40mill sitting in the back is theirs. That money didn't just appear there, the 12 members of the conference earned that money. The 10 defectors will want their 12th. Also some of the network monies coming from the OTA and cable companies are on a seven year payout. Meaning the PAC12 is still receiving money from games played all the way back in 2016. So the PAC12 will still be receiving money from this years games in 2030. The 12 teams that earned that money will want their third. OSU & WSU will argue that they abandoned some or all that revenue. This is a messy divorce and the blood letting will be a blast.
  5. Some of you go to church. From now on you will do that 'I'm trying not to laugh in church' thing when you hear this song. Sorry not sorry.
  6. My stupid Red Raiders prolly gonna offer her an NIL/transfer deal.
  7. Some crap gambling sight called clutchpoints has this header for their TECH vs WVU predictions.
  8. Just a word of advice. IF WORKING WITH THE B1G, GET IT IN WRITING, HANDSHAKES WON'T DO, GENTLEMAN'S AGREEMENTS ARE MEANINGLESS AND ABOVE ALL DON'T CALL IT AN ALLIANCE!
  9. The uniform can't be describe as anything other than "Oilerish". The cougars intentionally didn't use an oil derrick. And it wouldn't surprise me if they used different shades of powder blue and the helmet striping is definitely spaced a little differently.
  10. If Cal & Stanford go ACC is Football & MBB & maybe WBB, doesn't that violate Title IX rights of girls soccer & softball ect.?
  11. I live in Lubbock and am extremely Pro-Tech. In my view the Surly consensus is very supportive of the B12/16. Lots of parity, good match ups. Ya'll generally think things couldn't have worked out better for the remaining Eight. You generally think very little of UH and consider them the BIG12 bottom feeder, which of course is true. Your opinion of BY was extremely high, but diminished somewhat with his recent comments about the Tech UT game. BTW Holgorsen just said to UT & A&M "Screw them"
  12. I like schools playing ONE lower tier school a season. ACU has been making the rounds playing at A&M, at Baylor, at Mizz and at Tech. They can fund their entire program off of such games. Such games are indeed of value to the big schools early in the season. Its good to play a school that can expose some of your weaknesses without beating you. When UT plays Rice, UT will learn things. Do we have a punter? Do we have a kicker? If Rice burns the UT defense a few times, we're mad, but its good to know now. AND the best thing about playing some second tier school is seeing Appy St beat Aggie or Mich. The late season SEC cupcake though, adds nothing, it should go.
  13. This configuration makes more sense than any ACC set up. The small revenue share, huge travel expenses AND no natural rivals. When you can join the MWC that gets to renegotiate in 2025.
  14. To me here's the main reason to join the MWC. Their negotiation window comes up sooner. The MWC's contract expires in 25/26 the AAC renegotiates in 31/32. Considering the fact that OSU, WSU, CAL & STANFORD are additive to either conference, they should go with the conference that gets to take advantage of the bump the PAC4 gives them the soonest. So if you join the MWC you'll certainly be able to get the new contract well above what the AAC's contract is and you only have to wait 2 years to take advantage of it. And IF the MWC sucks and you want out you're only there two years. OR IF the ACC loses Clemson & FSU in the next two years, the ACC may let in CALFORD to replace them, at a more equitable rate than they are currently offering.
  15. I was trying to look up which college venues prohibit mascots from carrying fake weapons. Pistol Pete, Raider Red and the Mountaineer aren't allowed to have their fake guns with them at some road games. All those mascots have at least two sets of guns. One set can fire blanks and another set is purely a prop. Well, the WVU Mountaineer's Musket can actually be loaded and you can kill stuff with it. The mascot got in trouble a few years ago for shooting a bear. https://www.cbsnews.com/news/west-virginia-mountaineer-mascot-reprimanded-after-he-kills-bear-with-school-issued-musket/
  16. It's pretty clear that Assets like the PAC12 network and the rights to the PAC12 Logo belong to the remaining schools. There are claims that the PAC12 has a $40mill reserve AND deferred payments from networks and merchandising companies. Some claim that the remaining schools get that money. There's NO way the departing schools are going to let there 12th of any money they helped earn go to the PAC2.
  17. I was digging through 2 year old posts that were made within a month of OUT making their departure plans known and the announcement of the "Alliance". I thought the above posts have held up nicely.
  18. I love historical reminders like this. Here's a little timeline. July 21,2021 UT & OU announce that they are joining the SEC. The SEC will now have 16 teams. July 21st-Sept 10th. The remaining Eight B12 schools are in full blown panic. They are all worried that the PAC12 will add the four best remaining Eight and that their school might not make the cut. August 24th, 2021. The ACC, B1G & ACC try to counter the SEC coup with a piece of paper that loosely defines the meaningless alliance. It appeared stupid and meaningless at the time and it still appears that way. The Alliance may have eased the PAC12's mind for expansion. The PAC12 was convinced that they were super stable and were locked in as one of the top four conferences and that the BIG12 was on the outside looking in. September 10th, 2021. The Big12 Adds Cincy, BYU, UCF & UH. The BIG12 is stabilized and united. Meanwhile, behind the scenes the B1G wants to get to 16 teams just like the SEC. They begin back channel negotiations with USC/UO&ULCA. The Alliance will go down in the football realignment history books as the PAC12'S Neville Chamberlain moment.
