  1. Just one month ago, it looked like we could have potential chaos in the playoff race, but with a week and a half ago, would anyone bet against this: AL WC: A’s @ Yankees NL WC: Cardinals @ Brewers ALDS: Wild Card vs Red Sox; Indians vs Astros NLDS: Wild Card vs Cubs; Braves vs Dodgers
  2. The Dodgers have dealt some real heartbreakers to the Rockies and Dbacks in the last month.
  3. Nashville is certainly better than Fresno
  4. See a lot of Rams on here (and for good reason) but would like to see how they look against good teams. Cardinals and Raiders are bottom 5 teams this year. If you look at their schedule, they have a shit ton of tough games. Here’s the remaining schedule. Remember they have the 2nd worst home field advantage behind their neighbors. Home: LAC, MIN, GB, SEA, KC, PHI, SF Away: SEA, DEN, SF, NO, DET, CHI, ARI
  5. Saints over Chargers
  6. Given the white washed wranglers and polo shirt, I have my doubts that kid is a USC fan. Someone on Instagram says that kid was trying to start shit all game and the old dude finally had enough and beat his ass. Kid got arrested but old guy didn’t after everyone vouched for him.
  7. The Seahawks corners are terrible
  8. When GJ and Wheeler are the backers, it will be very difficult for teams to have success in the run game, including jet sweeps. As we saw against Maryland though, there’s not much depth behind them
  9. Wait a minute...pretty sure I saw a similar post last week with the same opening about Clemson going to aggy
  10. The game atmosphere was badass. Looking at the student section made me wish I was a freshman again. We need the same thing next weekend
  11. USC isn’t used to rain right? Or humidity?
  12. Fuck yeah we are
  13. The DFW media thinks Kershaw will give us a look, but I don’t buy it. Patrick Corbin has been unreal this year, but again don’t see it. Too many suitors. Hard pass on Dallas Keuchel who will be overpaid. Gio Gonzalez doesn’t really move the needle. So hope you like the ghost of Matt Harvey!
  14. Alex Collins for me. I want no part of the bills right now
  15. Yeah I’m ready for the offseason
  16. Hire. A. Real. GM. Now.
  17. Outside of Beltre, is there a guy that deserves a ring more than Curtis Granderson?
  18. Blake Snell thru 6
  19. One last point. Any CPA or finance professional would never equate revenue or profit (an income statement item) with value (a balance sheet item), rendering this whole analysis misleading.
  20. This is really the only section that matters: “Lying in wait is Texas. Although the runner-up this year, the Longhorns remain a financial powerhouse across the board. The team is among the best in nearly every revenue stream that's not tied to conference money or bowl game payouts; the Longhorns are top-five in contributions, ticket sales, endowments, concessions and even youth camps. And Texas football's $31 million from licensing, royalties and advertising is 50% more than any other team makes from the category. No wonder, considering Texas athletics gets nearly $10 million per year on average from Nike, making it the third-biggest apparel deal in college sports (UCLA and Louisville rank first and second). Texas also receives increasingly juicy rights payments from ESPN for the Longhorn Network; this year, the university and its athletic department will split $11.6 million from the school-specific network, and that payout increases by 3% annually. The LHN contract runs through the end of June 2031.”
  21. Read through the Forbes article and echo RD’s point. The author is equating contributions with revenue. Contributions will fluctuate year to year with whatever grand capital scheme aggy invents.
  22. Man the Phillies 2nd half has just been absolutely brutal.
