  1. Jimmy Kimmel Expressed Hope That if Trump Came After Him, Those on the Right ‘Will Support My Right’ to Free Speech — but the Opposite Has Happened https://variety.com/2025/tv/news/jimmy-kimmel-hoped-right-support-free-speech-trump-charlie-kirk-1236523250/?fbclid=IwY2xjawM5KO5leHRuA2FlbQIxMQABHiWKG2ZBaVUzPj2zmgSEj0AKZp5q_elPjuwfz62rzBAhgM2DAjUlvRHooizq_aem_0HoJpWnVrRkm8lBhSpXlbw
  2. Here's a list of Nexstar owned stations in the US: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_assets_owned_by_Nexstar_Media_Group
  3. Makes that Pence clip above even more amazing. He gushes about Charlie the person even though that same asshole sent bus-loads of J6'ers to DC to storm the Capitol and potentially hang Pence for not overthrowing American Government that day.
  4. Can't believe there was a time in my life where I thought Carolla was the "funny" one from The Man Show. What a fucking tool. At some point, you'd like somebody to take a fucking stand and tell the orange pedophile to pound sand and deal with the consequences. In reality, it would only take a handful of Republicans in the House and Senate to possibly (possibly) right this ship and start fumigating Trump 2.0. Pretty much.
  5. Marc Maron, Patton Oswalt Call for Action in the Wake of Kimmel Suspension: ‘This Is the Deciding Moment’ “If they can come for Kimmel, they can come for all of us,” the WTF host says https://www.thewrap.com/marc-maron-patton-oswalt-jimmy-kimmel/
  6. Can't wait to see this one. LA Times: He's made the most incendiary movie of the year. But Paul Thomas Anderson remains an optimist https://www.yahoo.com/entertainment/movies/articles/hes-made-most-incendiary-movie-100000774.html
  7. We were upstairs at the Bomb Factory show last night and I made the same comment to my wife. We go to a lot of shows and I couldn't remember many -- if any -- being that loud. We slid back to the upstairs middle to hang with some other friends during the encore and it seemed balanced a little better. Great show, though.
  8. Kimmel’s cancellation confirms what many suspected after Colbert’s Media companies must punish Trump critics if they want their mega-mergers approved. WaPo opinion piece: https://archive.ph/Y2ht1#selection-265.0-279.28 It doesn't really touch on any new ground but I found this eye-opening:
  9. First, They Came for Jimmy Kimmel What happens when comedians are held to stricter standards than vice presidents? https://www.thebulwark.com/p/emergency-triad-first-they-came-for?utm_campaign=post&utm_medium=web
  10. Woah ABC Suspends 'Jimmy Kimmel Live!' Over Charlie Kirk Comments The network’s decision comes after affiliate group Nexstar said it would pull the late-night show. https://apple.news/AGbXKjLlnTBOSD0klUDXFGA
  11. Correct. As @SpiralOutso beautifully spelled it out, if everybody is corrupt they can do ANYTHING.
  12. Oh boy, he’s on one today! https://thehill.com/homenews/administration/5507369-donald-trump-joe-biden-jack-smith-charlie-kirk-tpusa-probe/amp/
  13. That's one of the strangest parts of the whole exchange.
  14. Getting back in the saddle tonight with Father John Misty at The Bomb Factory.
  15. Sorry, somebody shared it with me via text. Had no idea there was a paywall. I don't have a Vanity Fair sub either. (I didn't realize it was written by Ta-Nehisi Coates until copypasta.) Here's text:
  16. Great read from Vanity Fair: https://www.vanityfair.com/news/story/charlie-kirk-ezra-klein-tanehisi-coates?_sp=5f2dad2a-6123-413e-9fdc-056754b781ce.1758118287797 HED: Charlie Kirk, Redeemed: A Political Class Finds Its Lost Cause
  17. Ding, ding. When they feel confident enough to throw out things like that, makes you wonder where the line would actually be — or if a line even exists in the first place.
  18. When you have an administration and movement that shoots out an unprecedented amount of absolute bullshit 24/7, you'll pardon us when we don't immediately take something that looks fishy AF at face value.
  19. One thing my wife mentioned a few days ago is how fucking fast everything went. Was there a real autopsy? Did they go in and find the bullet that killed him to match it to the weapon he supposedly used? It takes a couple days normally to prepare a body but wasn’t Kirk’s body in AF2 the day after, maybe two days after. I didn’t believe the text exchange. It was too perfect. The law dogs have commented that the death penalty really doesn’t apply here — maybe they know that and are putting it out there to get the kid to get scared, crack and really confess not over a dubious text exchange.
