I don't think it can work. Because who then vets what they say. Much easier to say if you're an elected official of any kind you cannot speak to a large gathering at a tax-exempt religious event.
I was able to sell my tickets on StubHub and went to the concert with the missus. I was score-watching a bit and seeing how Wemby, Flagg and Harper were faring. Saw Flagg's donut in the first half. Flipped it on and saw something like 103-76 Spurs and a smile crept across my face. Gonna be fun to be a Spurs fan again. Then I caught a lengthy highlight reel online (mostly Wemby clips) and holy shit does it look like he's ready to become truly one of the two or three best players in the league. Wow!
Also, the Mavs might suck ass.
Nation of Language last night at The Studio at the Bomb Factory. They were on fucking fire. Guess y’all tuned them up pretty good the night before at The Mohawk because they said they were really impressed with the Texas crowds about halfway thru the set. If you’re in Houston and on the fence on tonight’s show, just go. Had zero idea they were from the US (Brooklyn). I have just assumed they were from Britain. Very 80’s/New Order vibe but I read about their Krautrock adjacency and now I can’t unhear it. The chick in the band seems pretty cute.
So ... now the entire East Wing is coming down?!?!

Well, she’s worth a shit-ton of cash now that she sold her BS website to CBS/Paramount. I’d say if you are the CBS News head and you need armed protection like that, you’re probably doing things wrong — or a total asshole (or both).

Is there no Mavs' 25-26 season thread?
Was given two LL seats (Section 108) by my in-laws for an early birthday present. Apparently they thought I'd care to see Cooper Flagg's first-ever game because it's against my Spurs. My wife and I already had plans for that night and yesterday the tickets came through (somewhat surprisingly) the second-rate resale site they spent too much money through. I've got them listed on StubHub for a total that is less than face value ($381/ticket) but could easily pull them back to TicketMaster.
Happy to listen to offers if somebody would like to go in my stead. If I can't get face, I'll just take my son to the game and grudgingly bail on the concert.
In-laws thought they'd do something nice for my upcoming birthday and bought two lower-level seats for tomorrow night's game on some off-brand resale site with very checkered online reviews (basically a fledgling start-up by the guy who started SeatGeek, I think). They paid way too much but surprisingly, the tickets came through yesterday morning and I have them via TicketMaster.
My in-laws thought it would be cool for me to see Cooper Flagg's first-ever game against the Spurs, since that's my team. My wife told them not to buy the tickets but they went ahead and did it anyway. Hell, I'd rather they spend a grand and given my wife and I tickets on the glass for a Stars game. We actually already had tickets to a concert that night that I'd rather be at anyways. I wouldn't have paid anywhere near this much to see the Spurs play the Mavs here in Dallas. I could give two shits about Flagg.
I've got the tickets listed online and hope they'll sell. Just trying to get close to face value for the tickets -- even though that's probably a coupled hundred less for the two than my in-laws paid. If they don't sell, guess I'm skipping the concert with my wife and going to the game with my 17-year-old son, who isn't much of a sports fan.
