  1. Don’t forget Postmaster General
  2. This is basically the Island of the Misfit Toys
  3. This might've been posted yesterday and Watters could be exaggerated for content -- yes, he's that stupid -- but then I'd tell him he couldn't come to my house for Thanksgiving too if it were my family. If this is true, I'd like to buy Jesse's mom a beer or two. I need to get over to Vector. Sounds like a bunch of us do if we want them to stick around. https://www.nbcdfw.com/news/local/dallas-brewpub-shifts-focus-coffee-beer-sales-drop/3694688/?fbclid=IwY2xjawGgxEVleHRuA2FlbQIxMAABHfiuWPt5qWuRhClqixRpXlaFAzAyIbi8094Td-B1EiwTY6edwWtQjxGdHg_aem_v-js1bBKx1vWL1N9WCI5xg
  5. I got you, fam Black, divisive -- you say tomato, I say tomahto
  6. I thought it was because if it faced north-south Jerryworld would've given you a view of the Walmart that's right there. The Cowboys have never really done much in the later rounds, not in the post-Jimmy years. At least it seems that way.
  7. Well, I guess we're headed back to High Water after a one-year hiatus. Mrs C-Man has never seen Arcade Fire and is bummed we missed their Red Rocks show this summer. This lineup is pretty salty after last year's, which we were not enthused by (Noah Kahan and Hozier headlined).
  8. I watched the penultimate episode last night so I'm not reading any of the posts from after last night's finale until I watch it. That scene was brutal. My question, though, when Oz kept looking at the window while it was raining, was he not getting anxious that his brothers hadn't gotten home -- or did he want them to die? If the latter, then they didn't do a good enough setup to show how he got to the point where he hated his brothers and the attention his mom gave them over him to justify doing what he did. I know they've got to tell the story quickly but what we saw made the brothers seem like good kids who didn't have any real animosity toward Oz. At any rate, this has been a fun ride. Saw a story hit last night that Farrell is open to doing another season of The Penguin if the showrunners/HBO want to.
  9. Guess I'm the only one still on this. It's gotten considerably better IMO. I understand it had nowhere to go but up.

Jake’s has opened a new location on Walnut Hill/Marsh in the rebuilt shopping center that was destroyed by the tornado in 2019. They didn’t have their liquor license when we went last week but it should be a decent place to watch games once they do. They’ve got what looks like it could be a decent patio scene out back with a massive TV. We don’t really have that many good places to watch sports over here so this will do in a pinch.
  12. Gavin is awesome but I don’t think the rest of America would vote for him.
  13. This is fine.
  14. That was an insane play. I don't like that dude but he's a fucking gamer and that was a ridiculous play by him.
  15. Cool. Be sure and pick an example of an egregiously bad call because last night’s wasn’t it. Maybe go back and see the holding called on Texas DL vs OkState when he was pulled to the ground in that Charlie Strong debacle. Something like that. We’ve gotten to be really good friends with a group of folks in SLC. They’re all former LDS members who went to BYU. Therefore, we are rooting for the Cougars. We were at a concert last night and got home in time to watch the last quarter and a half. The minute Mar’s face popped up on the screen, I texted one of the guys said, “Oh, I remember that guy from Texas games. Congrats — you’ve got the worst crew in the worst officiated conference in football tonight.”
  16. We had Rainbow Kitten Surprise in Las Colinas last night. Fourth or fifth time for me to see them. We caught them at ACL Live in Austin back in May. Really weird dismount when right at the 1-hour mark, Ella said that was going to be their last song. They walked off, then came back and did their usual 2-song encore and that was it. One of the guys in our group said somebody in the band said they were a little under the weather but were fighting through it at one point but I missed that. Oh, well. It was a great show even though it was only 75 mins from start to finish.
